TAMPA

Williams Joins CBRE

Sean Williams joined CBRE Tampa's multi-housing group as a senior vice president. In his new role, Williams will help CBRE expand their market reach and bring his expertise and industry relationships to service existing clients in the acquisition and disposition of multi-housing properties in Tampa.

Williams was previously at Camden Property Trust, one of the country's largest publicly traded multifamily REITS and an S&P 400 company, where he spent six years as director of real estate investments. Before that he spent six years as senior vice president at Apartment Realty Advisors (ARA) where he handled more than $2 billion in capital markets transactions.

Williams holds an MBA and a bachelor's of business administration from the University of Florida.



ATLANTA

Dishaw Appointed SVP at Trammell Crow

The Atlanta office of Trammell Crow Co. appointed industrial development specialist Mark Dishaw as senior vice president. In his new role, Dishaw will be responsible for overseeing new industrial investment and development opportunities in the Atlanta market.

Dishaw has held other industrial development positions in his 30-year career, most recently serving as the director of industrial development at MeadWestvaco in Summerville, SC, where he was responsible for managing the firm's industrial real estate, including marketing space in 10 commerce parks throughout the Palmetto State. Prior to MWV, Dishaw was a senior regional director for First Industrial Realty Trust in Atlanta, and also previously was a partner at Rouse & Associates in Columbia, MD.

BOSTON

WinnCompanies Hires New EVP

WinnCompanies has appointed former Worcester city manager Michael O’Brien to executive vice president.

In his previous role as chief executive in Worcester, O’Brien implemented programs to revitalize city neighborhoods and spur economic development through partnerships with local banks, non-profit organizations, and realtors.

In his new role, O’Brien will oversee strategic planning, financial management, and client relationships for WinnDevelopment and WinnResidential.



SAN FRANCISCO

Pelosi Joins Thompson Dorfman Partners

Laurence Pelosi joined Thompson Dorfman Partners LLC, (TDP) as a partner in its new division, Bay Area Partners Inc., with the onus to expand the firm's capital market activities and new development opportunities in California.

Pelosi was most recently a director with RBC Capital Markets, where he was primarily responsible for public finance, infrastructure and public/private partnerships. Previously, he was an executive director at Morgan Stanley, where he focused on the firm's residential investments in the western United States and was director of acquisitions at Lennar Communities. Pelosi began his career as a real estate and land use attorney in San Francisco.

Pelosi currently serves on the board of Family House. He is a member of Lambda Alpha and the State Bar of California. He holds a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law School, and received his undergraduate at the University of California Berkeley.



KANSAS CITY

CBRE Names Dismond to EMD, GCS Central and Canada Region

CBRE Group, Inc. has promoted Tim Dismond to executive managing director, global corporate services (GCS) with responsibility for the U.S. Central region and Canada -- the firm's second largest GCS region.

At the same time, Dismond becomes a member of CBRE's GCS and Eastern Division Executive Committees. Based in Kansas City, MO, Dismond will continue serving on the executive board of CBRE's African-American Network Group (AANG).

Dismond joined CBRE in 2008 as an alliance director with the Sprint account, and was promoted to central region director in April 2012, overseeing several client relationships with a portfolio totaling approximately 100 million square feet. Before joining CBRE he held a number of senior management positions within the Spring corporate real estate organization, and he previously practiced law with Polsinelli & Shughart and Fuller & Henry.



CHICAGO

Heitman Expands National Real Estate Group

In a move to expand its portfolio management and securities investment capabilities within its real estate securities division, Chicago-based real estate investment manager Heitman made two personnel appointments.

Jerry W. Ehlinger, CFA has rejoined the firm as managing director and senior portfolio manager for its North America Public Real Estate Securities portfolio. Ehlinger is an 18-year veteran of the real estate securities business. He previously served as Heitman’s senior vice president and portfolio manager of real estate securities group from 2000 to 2004.

In addition, Tim Pire, a 21-year veteran of Heitman, will take on added responsibilities in a new role as chief investment strategist of the firm’s global real estate securities business unit. In his new role, Pire will oversee the firm’s global portfolio, risk management and marketing processes to support Heitman’s real estate securities strategies.

Gershman Commercial Announces Promotions, New Hire

Saint Louis, MO-based Gershman Commercial Real Estate is expanding its property management division with a new hire and two promotions to senior vice president within its team.

    NEW YORK CITY

    Winter Coming to Related Companies' Hudson Yards Leasing Efforts

    Related Companies has hired Stephen C. Winter as vice president of commercial leasing, where he will lead the commercial leasing efforts at the firm's the four commercial towers in the Hudson Yards development in Manhattan.

    Winter was previously at CBRE, where he handled leasing of an office portfolio totaling more than 1 million square feet, including 599 Lexington, 399 Park Ave., 250 W. 55th and 717 Fifth Ave., as well as 10 Hudson Yards. Winter will continue to work closely with CBRE, who represents Related and Oxford Properties Group as leasing agent at Hudson Yards.

    Winter has received numerous awards and recognition for his efforts in commercial leasing, including Commercial Observer's 30 Under 30, REBNY's Most Promising Commercial Salesperson of the Year, and CBRE's Rookie of the Year in 2011.



    NORTHERN NEW JERSEY

    Kislak Hires Oren as Vice President

    Kislak Company, Inc. based in Woodbridge Township, NJ has hired Avi Oren as vice president - sales manager.

    This is a newly-created position by the firm, and Oren will be tasked with the training and recruitment of new members for the company's sales team.

    Oren brings more than 16 years of experience in multifamily sales and training to Kislak, having previously held positions at Gebroe-Hammer Associates and New Market Realty Group. Oren has also previously served as senior accountant and chief financial officer.



    LOS ANGELES

    Brookfield Office Properties Expands Leasing Division

    Following Brookfield Office Properties' acquisition of four office towers as part of its purchase of MPG Office Trust, Inc., the firm has boosted its downtown Los Angeles leasing team under the leadership of John Barganski, regional vice president western region, with three new executives. James E. Malone joins as vice president, leasing; Rachael Zanetos and Marin Rutherford join the firm as leasing managers.

    SALT LAKE CITY

    Cushman & Wakefield/Commerce Promotes Baird

    After working in the commercial real estate community for nearly 20 years, Dana Baird has been appointed to the position of executive director for Cushman & Wakefield / Commerce.

    Baird's hard work has earned her the recognition of being a top producer at Cushman & Wakefield / Commerce. She has consistently averaged more than $50 million and 750,000 square feet of annual transaction volume.

    She has also been involved in various community and trade organizations, such as the Utah NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association where she serves as president.



    LOS ANGELES

    Alison to Lead Stan Johnson's Expansion on West Coast

    Stan Johnson Company has hired industry veteran Sam Alison as the firm's West Coast regional director.

    Based in Santa Monica, CA, Alison will oversee the firm's brokerage teams in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Phoenix while growing the company's presence in the region through an increased focus on transactions and recruiting in 2014. With 19 years of commercial real estate experience, Allison will represent and support clients, investors, developers, public institutions and private equity firms in the acquisition and disposition of net-leased properties.

    Alison previously served as senior vice president at CBRE in Los Angeles, where he specialized in retail investment sales. During his tenure there he completed deals covering more than 15 million square feet valued in excess of $3 billion. He also held positions at Weyerhaeuser Mortgage Co., Trammel Crow, and Exxon Corporation.

    Alison holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and received his bachelor's degree from Georgia Tech.



    PHILADELPHIA

    HFF Opens Philadelphia Office

    Leading HFF's 22nd office in the U.S. will be Mark Thomson and Zachary Pierce (pictured, left), who will co-head the new Philadelphia office as senior managing directors. Mark Popovich, senior managing director in Pittsburgh and member of HFF's leadership team, will assist the team in strategically growing the office to encompass all of HFF's lines of business to better serve its existing and future clients.

    Thomson and Pierce formerly served as directors with Marcus & Millichap's national multi-housing group, where they specialized in the sale of multi-housing throughout the Philadelphia MSA. During the past 12 months their team closed on more than 3,000 units, including the Marquis, Colonade, and Ivy Ridge Apartments.

    Also joining the duo at HFF will be Steve Rutman and Carl Fiebig, both former associates at Marcus & Millichap, and Heather Pushinsky, the team's marketing director.



    ATLANTA

    Lee & Associates Expands Valuation Services in Four States

    Lee & Associates Valuation and Consulting Services is continuing its national expansion with four new hires in the firm's Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Greenville, SC offices.

    Harrison Myers (pictured, top left) joins as an associate appraiser in Chicago. Shan Srivastava and Travis Wilson will join the firm as senior appraisers in Los Angeles and Atlanta, respectively. Tyler Hill will be based in Greenville as an associate appraiser.

    "We strive to provide our clients with the best possible service," said Daniel Boring MAI, chief executive officer of Lee & Associates Valuation. "The addition of Harrison, Tyler, Shan and Travis demonstrates Lee & Associates Valuation’s commitment to growth in these markets."

    National full-service commercial real estate firm Lee & Associates launched its appraisal service line in January. The team is centered in Atlanta, led by Boring and Victor Segrest, chief financial officer.
