HOUSTON

CBRE Group Taps Mullen for Newly Created Position

Adam Mullen joined CBRE's industrial and logistics practice as head of supply chain services.

In this newly created position, Mullen will work with CBRE’s top clients and sales professionals to help guide companies supply chain decisions, including finding the right location, mission and business justification for their real estate decisions. In addition, Mullen will help clients coordinate their business strategies with their overall supply plans to allow for growth, improve service and lower costs while supporting business continuity.

Mullen will be based in Atlanta, which is a major transportation hub in the region. With its international airport and extensive road and rail lines, Atlanta has one of the largest concentrations of supply-chain companies. The new position was created by CBRE as an acknowledgement that more companies are seeking real estate services earlier in the relocation process.



SAN FRANCISCO

Auction.com Taps Morse as CFO

Auction.com has named Tim Morse as CFO and executive vice president.

The former Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ: YHOO) chief financial officer and interim chief executive officer will now oversee the financial operations and growth strategies of the nation's leading online real estate marketplace from its Silicon Valley office. Morse will work closely with outgoing CFO Bruce Felt until his departure in June.

After leaving Yahoo! in the fall of 2012, Morse joined online advertising start-up Adap.tv, leading IP efforts to near conclusion before the fast-growing tech company was acquired by AOL, Inc. (NYSE: AOL). Before that, Morse held numerous financial leadership positions within the General Electric Company, most recently as CFO and general manager of business development for GE Plastics, following value-creation initiatives for GE Capital and GE Corporate. Morse left GE in 2007 to become CFO for the Altera Corporation (NASDAQ: ALTR).

BALTIMORE

Johnson Joins Artemis Properties

David E. Johnson joined Baltimore-based The Artemis Properties as executive vice president.

In his new capacity, Johnson will direct and oversee the day-day operations of the company with a concentration on marketing and leasing, asset management and value-creation functions.

Johnson spent the last 15 years as president of Stratford Realty Management Co., where he created asset management strategies for real estate holdings throughout New York City, Baltimore and Houston. Additional stops include serving as senior vice president of Lexington Charles LP and regional director of Equitec Financial Group.



SALT LAKE CITY

Present Value Properties Taps Whitaker to Lead New Office in Utah

Present Value Properties (PVP), a full-service retail real estate brokerage and consulting firm headquartered in Tustin, CA, is set to establish a presence in the Salt Lake City market with the opening of its office at 1252 Dogwood Dr. in Mapleton, UT.

Heading up the new branch will be longtime retail real estate veteran Bradley O. Whitaker, who most recently worked as the senior vice president of real estate and station development for liquid natural gas station developer, Transfuels LLC. Previous stops for Whitaker also include serving as president and CEO of regional shopping center developer The Whitaker Group, chief development officer for Panda Express, and vice president of development for YUM Brands, CKE Restaurants and Marriott Hotels.

As executive vice president of PVP, Whitaker will oversee investment acquisitions and dispositions, partner development and self-development.



INDIANAPOLIS

Foster Joins Reliant Partners

Ronald D. Foster, CCIM joined Reliant Partners Commercial Realty as a partner in the firm's Indianapolis office.

Foster has 27 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, becoming an accomplished tenant and landlord representative broker in Indiana.

Foster has spent the past eight years of his career with Echelon Realty Advisors, and joins Reliant Partners Commercial Realty with over $1 billion in transaction volume. His extensive experience in brokerage, investment sales, and development will make him a great addition to the team.



PHOENIX

Gast Joins Velocity

Veteran retail broker Brian Gast has joined Velocity Retail Group LLC as a senior vice president. In his new role, Gast will focus on shopping center owners and retail tenants.

"As a top producer at his previous firm, Brian is adept at knowing how to provide his clients with superior service and unparalleled retail expertise. We are pleased to be able to have Brian join our firm and instantly increase our strength in the market," said Greg Coxon, COO at Velocity.

Gast brings more than 12 years of experience, having completed hundreds of transactions over his career including stints at Strategic Retail Group, Benjamin Group, and DeRito Partners, and amassing a client list of numerous household names from a national and regional scope. He is a graduate of the University of Arizona.



NEW YORK CITY

Caraciolo Promoted to SVP, Director at Swig Equities

In addition to his current role as senior vice president and director of construction and engineering services at Falcon Pacific Construction LLC, Joe Caraciolo will also be taking on the roles of senior vice president and director of property management at Swig Equities LLC.

Caraciolo's new position will put him in charge of management and operations of Swig Equities' entire commercial and residential building portfolio, in addition to coordinating all tenant construction and capital improvement work.

Prior to his work with Swig Equities, Caraciolo worked in building management at New York's Rockefeller Center, and served as an engineer on a U.S. Navy nuclear-powered submarine.



INDIANAPOLIS

Reed Joins DTZ

David Reed has taken a new position as senior vice president and managing director of DTZ in Indianapolis. Reed plans to focus on industrial real estate and corporate services, and will hire experienced brokers as well as apprentices to expand DTZ’s Indianapolis office.

"I am very excited about the vitality and enthusiasm at DTZ," said Reed. "I feel we are on a rapid growth trajectory and I am joining the company at the perfect time."

Originally licensed in 1985 in Cincinnati, OH, Reed formerly served as a senior leasing representative for Duke Realty Corporation and a managing director for CBRE. In addition to his leadership roles with Duke Realty and CBRE, Reed’s experience includes serving as principal broker of Reed Advisory Services, a private consulting firm which he launched in 2010. He also serves on the executive committee of the Indiana Commercial Board of Realtors.



DETROIT

Lutz Appoints SVP

Lutz Real Estate Investments tapped Clay Thomas as senior vice president in its Birmingham, MI office.

A 15-year commercial real estate veteran, Thomas will lead Lutz's asset and property management divisions, in addition to third-party management assignments.

Prior to joining Lutz, Thomas served as director of commercial portfolio management for McKinley, an Ann Arbor, MI-based national real estate company. In this role, Thomas handled $500 million in company-owned and third-party real estate both locally and nationally. Thomas also worked at Michigan law firms Dykema and Jaffe, where he represented clients in the acquisition and financing of more than $1 billion in real estate nationwide.



HOUSTON

New SVP Named at Trammell Crow Co

Trammell Crow Co. promoted Brandon Houston to senior vice president in its Houston market. Houston joined Trammell Crow in 2012 and specializes in sourcing and executing new office development and investment projects.

In a career that has spanned nearly a decade, Houston has handled around $400 million of construction loans and negotiated more than two million square feet of commercial leases.

Houston has a marketing degree from Texas A&M and an MBA from Rice University.



CHICAGO

Reaumond Joins Sterling Bay

Chloe Reaumond joined the Sterling Bay Cos. as vice president of leasing after seven years with CBRE as a senior associate and vice president.

Reaumond will be responsible for finding and repositioning tenants for properties such as 111 N. Canal and 1000 Fulton in Chicago. She will also be responsible for securing tenants for additional new development sites in the Chicagoland area.

While at CBRE, Reaumond assisted Sterling Bay in finding tenants for these properties such as Gogo, Inc. and Google. She was awarded the 2012 and 2013 NAIOP Broker Transaction of the Year and the 2012 Greater Chicago Food Depository Innovative Deal of the Year.



LOS ANGELES

Samson Joins Griffin Capital Corp

Elizabeth Samson has joined Griffin Capital Corporation as an associate vice president of due diligence, based in the firm's El Segundo headquarters.

In her new role, Samson will coordinate due diligence for various investment products the firm offers through its independent broker-dealer channel. She will also conduct research, initial credit analysis, and ongoing monitoring of corporate tenants in the firm's portfolio.

Samson previously served as manager, investor information group with Och-Ziff Capital Management Group in New York. Before that she was with KPMG as a senior audit associate.
