Wasserberger Joins L&L Holding as Managing Dir.
Manhattan-based L&L Holding Co. LLC recruited Simon Wasserberger as a managing director. He will concentrate on leasing and work closely with senior executives Bill Potts and Howard Slavin of the asset management unit.
Wasserberger joined the group from CB Richard Ellis, where he was a senior partner in the agency group. His background also includes leasing, acquisitions and development at Tishman Speyer Properties.
He is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York and has an undergraduate degree from Boston University.
L&L Holding is a decade-old commercial real estate owner/management firm. The privately owned company has an office portfolio of more than 5.5 million square feet of space primarily in Manhattan.

Colliers Adds Top Facilities Management Exec to Ranks

Colliers International tapped James Reilly as director of operations to head its facilities management division throughout the mid-Atlantic region. Based in Richmond, Reilly will develop new facilities contracts and manage the firm’s current ones within the territory.
Reilly specializes in project engineering and facilities management. He most recently headed GVA Advantis’ facilities management practice for the southeast region. Reilly’s worked with some of the area’s largest organizations, including Dominion Resources, Virginian Pilot/Ledger-Star, The University of Virginia Foundation, the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation and the United Bank of Switzerland.
He is a former chapter president and current member of BOMA and has LEED accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council.

CresaPartners Adds Meadows to Strategic Services Group

J. L. “Rusty” Meadows II joined CresaPartners’ Strategic Services practice in Washington, DC, as senior vice president. He will focus on strategic real estate and facilities planning services and the domestic and international real estate needs of clients.
Meadows is the former president and founding director of the local branch of Perkins+Will, a commercial architect design firm. The LEED Accredited professional also worked in strategic planning and development as real estate manager for AT&T for nearly 10 years.
His accomplishments include the completion of about 55 major projects encompassing more than 300 buildings and portfolio of more than 100 million square feet including the headquarters for America Online, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Capital One, Fannie Mae, Mitre Corp., Pepco, Sallie Mae and Verizon.

Avison Young Expands to Houston

Avison Young opened a new branch in Houston and tapped two industry veterans to run its operations. Josh LaRocca (pictured, right) and Rand Stephens joined the firm as principals. Stephens was also named managing director of the new office.
LaRocca and Stephens have more than four decades of combined industry experience and have worked together as a team for 15 years. The duo served as the former co-managing principals of Mohr Partners Houston.
LaRocca will take on the role of principal of the firm while also assuming leadership in transaction execution and helping clients with decisions.
Stephens will oversee day-to-day operations and direct Avison Young's growth in Texas, while focusing on tenant representation and brokerage, investment sales, property management and leasing.
LaRocca started his real estate career in 1996 at InSite Realty Partners. He later became a managing director at Studley Inc. for two years.
Stephens joined the real estate industry in 1987 with Trammell Crow Co. He co-founded InSite Realty Partners and served as a senior managing director for Studley Inc.

Rothschild Joins UGL Equis

Brian Rothschild joined UGL Equis as senior vice president. An industry veteran, he brings 26 years of experience in commercial real estate.
Rothschild comes to UGL Equis after a 16-year stint at Colliers ABR, where he was a managing director. Prior to joining Colliers ABR, he was a regional director of leasing and facility management for Tower Equities.

DuCote Joins NAI as Senior Property Manager

NAI Norris, Beggs & Simpson Portland hired Christina DuCoté as a senior property manager.
DuCoté brings in more than 12 years of property management experience. She was previously a senior property manager with The Muller Co. in San Diego, where she managed more than 1 million square feet at one time. She won The Office Building of the Year Award (TOBY) in 2008.
