DENVER

Baldwin Elected to Cresa Board of Directors

Bill Baldwin was elected to the Board of Directors at Cresa as the Denver representative, replacing long-time member and former chairman, Philip Infelise.

Baldwin has 29 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. He is currently a managing principal of the Denver office and is responsible for the leadership, strategy, finance and administration of Cresa Denver. He has been involved in more than seven million square feet of real estate assignments throughout his career.

CHARLOTTE

Andrews Joins Proffitt Dixon Partners

Proffitt Dixon Partners, a multifamily real estate investment and development firm, tapped William Andrews as a partner in its Charlotte, NC office.

In his new role, Andrews will identify, acquire and develop class A luxury apartment projects throughout the Southeast. Prior to joining Proffitt, Andrews served as vice president of finance and investments for Colonial Partners Trust, a multifamily REIT located in Birmingham, AL.

Andrews earned a bachelor's degree from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC Chapel Hill and his Master's Degree in real estate development from Auburn University.

LOS ANGELES

Meade Joins Avison Young

Jodi Meade has joined the Downtown Los Angeles office of Avison Young as a principal. Meade will continue to specialize in automotive retail properties by developing and leading Avison Young's newest affinity group, the automotive properties group.

In her new role, Meade will focus on the acquisition, expansion, leasing, relocation, disposition and auto-mall development needs of owners, tenants, investors, developers, manufacturers and franchisees.

Meade has 29 years of commercial real estate experience, which started at Shea Properties, where she served as director of retail property management. Most recently, she founded and launched CBRE's automotive properties group, assisting clients such as Ford Motor Company, Nissan NA, and VW Credit, Inc.



SOUTH FLORIDA

Blanca CRE Welcomes Vergara

Elizabeth Vergara has joined Blanca Commercial Real Estate as a senior vice president. Vergara will bring additional senior-level talent to the firm's growing landlord agency leasing practice.

Vergara brings more than 10 years of industry experience, having completed transactions with Humana/CAC, Firestone, Univision, Marriott, Arthur J. Gallagher, and the GSA, to name a few. She most recently served as director of leasing for Adler Realty Services, where she was responsible for leasing and marketing of the firm's entire South Florida portfolio, which topped 1 million square feet. Before that she served as director of leasing at Cordina Realty Services.

Vergara is active in CREW-Miami, and is a multi-year recipient of Flagler's Work Horse Award and CoStar's Power Broker award, having repeatedly completed more than 100 lease transactions a year.



NEW YORK CITY

Schoppmann Named Exec Managing Director at CBRE

Kyle Schoppmann has been promoted to executive managing director of CBRE's New York tri-state brokerage group.

Schoppmann's duties include overseeing day-to-day sales operations and the annual strategic planning process, as well as chairing CBRE's global law firm practice group. She was previously a consulting partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and a business advisor at IBM.

"We reserve the executive managing director title for our most accomplished leaders who demonstrate superior leadership and operational excellence," says Jim Reid, president, Eastern division.



ATLANTA

Greystone Hires Hires

Keith Hires has joined Greystone, a private, New York-based financial services and investment firm, as a managing director within the firm's portfolio lending group, where he will focus primarily on bridge and mezzanine lending products targeted to borrowers in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic.

Most recently, Hires served as a managing director at Guggenheim, where he was responsible for building a loan production platform for the company's Atlanta office. Prior to Guggenheim, Hires served as a managing director at Prudential Financial, where he was responsible for development of the Capital Markets and Fannie Mae programs for the Eastern Region covering offices in Atlanta, Washington, D.C. and New York City. Earlier in his career, Hires was a director in the multifamily division of Freddie Mac and a vice president at JE Robert Companies. In his career, Hires has executed transactions in excess of $7 billion.



CHARLESTON

Lee & Associates Promotes Lively Fix, Hires Wilson

    NEW YORK CITY

    Travaglini Joins The Carlton Group

    The Carlton Group has hired Richard Travaglini as a director of leasing.

    In his new role, Travaglini will mainly manage leasing at 600 Community Dr. in Manhasset, a 250,000-square-foot, 4-Star office building on Long Island. The asset was previously leased to an international media conglomerate, coming to the market for the first time in 20 years. Travaglini will assist the multi-million dollar capital improvement program planned there, drawing on his experience in repositioning suburban office buildings.

    Travaglini graduated with a bachelor's degree in architectural design from Clemson University, and is an active member of NAIOP, CORENet, and the Somerset County Business Partnership.

    INDIANAPOLIS

    Simon Property Group Welcomes New Director of Sustainability

    Simon Property Group hired Mona Benisi as the director of sustainability, as part of Simon's ongoing goals for reducing the carbon footprint of its retail portfolio.

    Benisi was previously a consultant in the corporate sustainability office of Siemens Corporation in Munich, Germany, where she played a key role in the development and implementation of the company's sustainability strategy there.

    Benisi holds a bachelor's degree in international business from Georg-Simon-Ohm University in Nuremberg, Germany and a Master's Degree in sustainability management from Columbia University in New York.
