NEW YORK CITY

Kelly to Lead Newly Created Risk Management Services at Cushman & Wakefield

Cushman & Wakefield has hired Raymond W. Kelly as president of its newly-created Risk Management Services (RMS) division, effective March 24th. The RMS group will offer its clients tailored solutions, including identifying potential vulnerabilities, preparing for and mitigating risk across physical and cyber security intelligence, crisis management, due diligence and site selection, and emergency preparedness.

As the former, and longest serving, New York City Police Commissioner, Kelly oversaw a steep reduction in crime, including a 40 percent decrease in violent crimes, while building counterterrorism and intelligence bureaus responsible for keeping the city safe from ongoing terrorism threats.

Kelly's 50 years of public service has seen him sit as NYC Police Commissioner twice, as well as directing the International Police Force in Haiti, serving as Vice President of Interpol from 1996 - 2000, Commissioner of the US Customs Service, and Undersecretary of Enforcement at the US Treasury Department. He retired as a Colonel in 1993 following 30 years of service in the United States Marine Corps Reserves, which included a combat tour in Vietnam.

DALLAS

Walton Group Appoints Vick as South Central President

The Walton Group of Cos. appointed John Vick to the position of regional president for Walton Development and Management (WDM), South Central USA.

Vick returns to his home state of Texas where, in his new role, he will work out of the Austin and Dallas offices to oversee more than a dozen master plans and development projects that involve commercial, residential, and mixed-use communities.

Prior to joining WDM’s Texas offices, Vick was regional president for Walton’s Mid-Atlantic division, where he oversaw the design and planning of WDM’s first two development projects in the U.S., the mixed-use Westphalia Town Center and Canter Creek, a single family residential community, both in Prince George's County, MD.

Hillis Joins Avison Young

Mike Hillis has joined Avison Young in Las Vegas as a principal. In his new role, Hillis will specialize in industrial real estate leasing, tenant representation and investment sales.

Hillis brings more than 30 years of experience, having most recently served as principal with Cushman & Wakefield | Commerce. As an industrial specialist in the warehousing, logistics and distribution sectors, he has completed transactions covering all phases of commercial real estate, representing a variety of local and international clients across 24 states and Canada.

Hillis is completing his term as 2014 International President of SIOR. He holds a bachelor's degree in marketing and industrial management from the University of Oregon School of Business, and has obtained his CCIM designation.



GREENSBORO/WINSTON-SALEM

Bell Partners Promotes Two to Senior Vice Presidents

Bell Partners, Inc., a leading multifamily investment and management company, has promoted both Nickolay Bochilo and Joseph Cannon (pictured, right) to senior vice presidents, investments. The pair will oversee acquisitions and asset financing for the company.

Bochilo joined Bell in 2001, and has been involved in more than $3 billion for the company across its apartment, retail and senior housing portfolios, while aiding the firm's strategic and organizational leadership.

Cannon joined Bell in 2009, focused on acquisitions and dispositions across several markets. He has been involved in more than $1 billion in transactions with the firm, and before that was a vice president with Wachovia and worked with its CMBS origination and securitization business.



BOSTON

Kakambouras Joins Cassidy Turley

Ted Kakambouras joined Cassidy Turley's Boston office as vice president of financial analysis.

Kakambouras will be responsible for financial analysis of client real estate decisions including purchase and sales, lease and portfolio strategies.

Prior to joining Cassidy Turley, Kakambouras worked at REIT Management & Research as an asset management analyst.

Kakambouras graduated from Merrimack College with a bachelor's degree in business administration and his MBA from Northeastern University.



NORTHERN NEW JERSEY

New Director Appointed at Mack-Cali

Jonathan Litt has been appointed to the Mack-Cali board of directors, effective immediately, as a Class I director.

Litt brings more than 22 years of experience as a global real estate strategist and investor. He is the founder and chief investment officer of Land & Buildings Investment Management LLC, a registered investment firm specializing in publically traded real estate and real estate securities.

In a mutual agreement with the Mack-Cali board of directors, Barry Lefkowitz, executive vice president and chief financial officer, and Roger W. Thomas, executive vice president, general counsel and secretary, have both agreed to resign from their respective positions effective March 31.



NEW YORK CITY

Leonard Joins NMHG at MMREIS in NYC

Christopher Leonard has joined Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services (MMREIS) as a regional director in its National Multi Housing Group (NMHG). Based in the firm's Manhattan office, Leonard will focus on expanding the group's business practice throughout the US.

Leonard previously served as a first vice president at CBRE, where he worked with the 12-member New York Institutional Group leading the disposition of multifamily assets and development sites and advising clients throughout the ownership cycle.

Throughout his career, Leonard has participated in transactions valued at more than $5.7 billion, and has provided capital markets solutions to some of the largest apartment building owners in suburban and metropolitan New York.



ATLANTA

Cassidy Turley Boosts Corporate Services Group

Cassidy Turley, a commercial real estate services provider headquartered in Washington, D.C., expanded its Atlanta corporate services group with the hiring of Jyoti Ganesh as managing director.

Ganesh will lead the portfolio strategy function for SunTrust Banks, which encompasses a real estate portfolio of 14 million square feet, as well as lead strategic consulting services on behalf of other major Cassidy Turley end-user clients.

Ganesh brings extensive experience in portfolio planning, workplace strategy, program execution and financial analytics. She was previously at Bank of America for 14 years, where she implemented more than 300 projects and 1,500 relocations annually while leading a team that implemented strategic tactics across the bank’s domestic and international real estate portfolio. She most recently served as a director of strategic planning and analytics consultant for Altisource.



SOUTH FLORIDA

Bell Joins Transwestern

John Bell has joined Transwestern as managing director of investment sales for South Florida. In this new role, Bell will lead the capital markets team, focusing on commercial sales, development sites, joint ventures, and financing and equity raises.

Bell has completed more than $3 billion in transactions across all asset types with a focus on the Southeast US markets, setting himself apart as an expert in trophy and distressed assets with a varied client list of institutional investors, private owners, and special servicers.

Previously the managing director, head of the Southeast region for Rockwood Real Estate Advisors, Bell also served as executive vice president and principal at Trammell Crow, working as head of the South Florida investment sales department until its merger with CBRE, where he held the title of executive vice president. Before that he was a senior director at Cushman & Wakefield.



BALTIMORE

Cushman & Wakefield Appoints New Senior Director

Cushman & Wakefield tapped Stuart Rienhoff as a senior director in the firm's Baltimore brokerage services practice group. In his new role, Rienhoff will be responsible for tenant and landlord representation for clients throughout Maryland.

A 27-year industry veteran, Rienhoff previously worked for Jones Lang LaSalle as a managing director with a concentration on tenant representation and agency leasing for office and flex space. Previous stops also include Cassidy Turley and Colliers Pinkard, where he worked for more than 23 years.

Rienhoff earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Washington and Lee University and an MBA from the University of Baltimore.
