DTZ Taps Woodrow as Head of Global Occupier Services, Americas

DTZ, a Chicago-based global real estate adviser, appointed Martin Woodrow as its head of global occupier services, Americas (GOS). He will report directly to Steven Quick, chief executive of global occupier services in Chicago.

Woodrow heads up a 16,500-member division charged with supporting DTZ's long-range global strategies and delivering corporate real estate services to large-scale corporate clients, supporting more than 1,800 transactions totaling 150 million square feet per year.

A 22-year industry veteran, Woodrow previously supervised GOS' America's transaction management and information management service lines, as well as coordinated best practices in account management. Woodrow earned a bachelor's degree in architecture and engineering and a Master's Degree in construction engineering from the University of Michigan.

Banerjee Joins Greysteel

The Greysteel Co. appointed Doug Banerjee to its executive committee. Based in the Dallas-Fort Worth office, Banerjee specializes in investment advisory and dispositions of multifamily properties and portfolios in North Texas and South Central United States.

Prior to joining Greysteel, Banerjee was an investment professional at a national real estate investment firm. Prior to that, he was a consultant with Accenture and Deloitte.

Banerjee holds a bachelor's degree in materials science and engineering from Virginia Tech.


Provenzano Named New Partner at Pacific Coast Commercial

Pacific Coast Commercial has promoted Vince Provenzano as the newest partner at their San Diego office. Provenzano was named the president of Pacific Coast’s brokerage division back in 2011, and has since led the firm to record lease and sale transactions.

"We are proud to welcome Vince into the partnership as the newest shareholder in our corporation," said Robert Phillips, president and CEO of Pacific Coast Commercial. "Through his unique leadership style and high energy approach to the industry, Pacific Coast Commercial is moving up through the ranks of the elite brokerage houses here in San Diego County and others are taking notice."

Prior to joining Pacific Coast Commercial, Provenzano was the managing director of NAI San Diego, and before that was president of Award Commercial Properties.


Callahan Joins Avison Young

David Callahan has joined the Downtown Los Angeles office of Avison Young as a senior vice president. Callahan will bring his tenant representation experience to his new role, where he will also assist landlords and office clients in Downtown Los Angeles and across the country.

Previously, Callahan worked at Cresa in Los Angeles, where he represented companies ranging from startups to Fortune 100 firms. He has also held management positions at Oracle Corporation and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals.

Callahan received his MBA from The University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business in Los Angeles, and graduated from Tufts University in Massachusetts with a bachelor's degree in political science. He serves as treasurer and president-elect of CoreNet Global.


Parker Joins CBRE in San Diego

Erik Parker has joined the CBRE San Diego industrial services group as a vice president. In his new role, Parker will focus on industrial leasing and sales in the South County region.

Prior to CBRE, Parker was an industrial property specialist with Cassidy Turley San Diego in its UTC office. Parker handled projects for Kearny Real Estate and Venture Corporation and leasing assignments for Clarion Partners and Rexford Industrial.

"South San Diego County is at the center of the CaliBaja MegaRegion and exciting things are happening there," said John Frager, executive managing director at CBRE. "With 13-plus years of relevant market experience, Erik is a key hire for CBRE and a valuable addition to the team."


Cassidy Turley Promotes Stevens

Cassidy Turley has promoted Mark Stevens to vice president in its Minneapolis, MN office.

Stevens joined Cassidy Turley in 2006, where he specializes in office properties with a focus on landlord representation, most recently as an associate vice president. He was previously a broker with United Properties.

Throughout his career, Stevens has handled more than 400 lease and sale transactions totaling 2.4 million square feet for clients including BPG Ltd, REIT Management and Research, GE, and CBS. Stevens is a graduate of Iowa State University.


E. Smith Realty Names Pavelka VP

E. Smith Realty Partners hired Jake Pavelka as a vice president of retail development and investment sales.

Based in the Dallas office, Pavelka will help develop new business as well as provide tenant representation and brokerage services for retail clients.

Prior to joining E. Smith, Pavelka was the president and founder of Texas Realty Acquisition Partners, which focused on multifamily and retail development. During that time, he wrote and developed a $10 million private placement memorandum capital raise.


Rappaport Appoints Carboni to VP

McLean, VA-based real estate services firm Rappaport tapped Steve Carboni as its vice president of portfolio leasing.

In his new role, Carboni will oversee leasing for Rappaport's portfolio comprised of approximately 50 retail properties throughout Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia. His responsibilities will involve lease negotiations, planning and developing leasing strategies, assisting with tenant recruitment and work with the executive team on new acquisitions.

A 25-year industry veteran, Carboni previously oversaw a 2.8 million-square-foot, 32-property portfolio composed of greater Washington, D.C. commercial office and medical properties as director of asset management for Washington Real Estate Investment Trust (NYSE: WRE). In his career, Carboni has organized more than $700 million in acquisitions.


Voit Taps Johnston as Managing Director

Voit Real Estate Services has appointed Tom Johnston as managing director. In his new role, Johnston will oversee all aspects of Voit's operations in the Phoenix and Las Vegas markets, leading a team of brokerage and real estate management professionals.

Johnson previously served as senior vice president of leasing and sales for PhoenixMart, where he oversaw leasing and sales of a 586-acre, 6 million-square-foot, mixed-use development project. Before that he was a senior managing director and market leader with Cushman & Wakefield, where he managed more than 100 employees across various service lines including leasing, investment sales, appraisal, and property management.

A graduate of Columbia University with a degree in economics, Johnson is an NAIOP board member and a member of ULI's Advisory Board.


Amoresano Joins C&W's Project Management Team

Marc D. Amoresano joined Cushman & Wakefield's project management group in East Rutherford, NJ to assist and support construction-related needs for their brokerage and property management departments.

In his new role, Amoresano will be preparing budgets and schedules for proposals and running entire build-out or ground-up projects, which includes planning, design and construction team assembly, and coordinating implementation throughout the whole process.

Amoresano's experience as a project superintendent for Turner Construction Company and Registered Architect in New Jersey provides a wealth of design experience. Recent projects include a $45 million restoration of the NYU Medical Center, a data center for JP Morgan Chase and a 25,00-square-foot office fit-out at 1 Gateway Center in Newark.
