Kimco Taps Cooper as President, Jamieson as COO

Kimco Realty Corp. has promoted Ross Cooper to president and David Jamieson to chief operating officer. With these appointments, Conor Flynn, who had held the dual role of president and chief executive officer, will remain Kimco’s CEO and a member of the company’s board of directors. The COO position has been open since it was last held by Conor Flynn before his elevation to CEO in 2016.

Cooper most recently served as executive vice president and chief investment officer for Kimco since joining the firm in 2006. Jamieson joined Kimco in 2007 and most recently was the executive vice president of asset management and operations.


Gemini Rosemont Promotes Henry to CEO

As part of a planned senior management transition, Santa Fe-based Gemini Rosemont Realty, LLC promoted its current chief operating and chief investment officer Don Henry to CEO, succeeding Michael E. Mahony, who will move to the newly-created position of president and chief strategy officer.

Henry (pictured) will continue to perform CIO functions in his new role while taking responsibility for all major corporate decisions including operations and resource management, capital raising, acquisitions and investment performance. Prior to joining Gemini Rosemont in 2013, Henry was chief real estate officer for Wells Real Estate Funds in Atlanta.

Covello Joins AY as Executive Director

Jamie Covello has joined Avison Young in New York City as an executive director. In her new role, the pioneering leader in corporate tenant representation will continue representing landlords and tenants in the corporate arena, with a focus on real estate advisory and transaction services throughout the New York market.

Covello brings more than 30 years of experience in merger and acquisitions advisory, due diligence and headquarters rationalization, having most recently served as an executive director at Cushman & Wakefield, where she represented local and global corporate clients since joining the firm in the mid-1980's.


C&W Appoints Leone as Executive Director

Paul Leone has joined Cushman & Wakefield's Metrowest and South Market teams as an executive director. He specializes in the leasing and sale of office, industrial and research and development space.

Leone has more than 15 years of experience in commercial real estate. Before joining Cushman & Wakefield, he served as a partner at Transwestern RBJ. He has also worked as senior vice president at Richards Barry Joyce and Partners, and as a vice president at Trammell Crow Co.


CBRE Elevates Sandquist to EVP

CBRE has promoted Andrew Sandquist to executive vice president within the company's corporate capital markets division.

The top producer has been with CBRE for more than 15 years, closing more than $10 billion in total transactions throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. Sandquist earned an MBA from Northwestern University and holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa.


Transwestern Taps Heeg as Partner

Patrick Heeg has joined Transwestern as a partner. Based in the firm's New York City office, Heeg will provide leasing advisory services for owners and occupiers while supporting the firm's business development efforts.

Heeg brings more than 15 years of commercial real estate experience, most recently as a managing director with JLL and before that with Cushman & Wakefield. Throughout his career, Heeg has completed more than 1 million square feet of leasing transactions on behalf of occupiers and landlords.

Ware Malcomb Promotes Myers to Regional Vice President,
Evernham, Trefry, DiRoma to Principals

Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, has promoted Tom Myers to regional vice president of the firm's Irvine, CA headquarters office.

In addition, Ware Malcomb has promoted Kevin Evernham to principal of the firm’s Phoenix, AZ office, Cameron Trefry has been promoted to principal of the firm’s Chicago, IL office, and Frank DiRoma has been promoted to principal of the firm’s Toronto, Canada office.


Avison Young Promotes Beck to Principal

Kirsten Beck has been promoted to principal in Avison Young's New York City office. Beck now oversees all related Avison Young project management activities throughout the five boroughs and parts of Connecticut.

The project management industry veteran has more than 20 years of experience, joining Avison Young 10 years ago with the company's New Jersey office and overseeing numerous regional initiatives including interior renovations, tenant representation and capital improvement plans.


CBRE Appoints SLC Sales Director and Principal Broker

CBRE has named Lloyd Allen sales director and principal broker in the firm's Salt Lake City office.

As sales director, Allen will collaborate with leaders across local, regional and national teams in order to retain, identify and assign qualified sales professionals. Additionally, he will be responsible for leading and executing a successful sales management operation focused on overall organic business development. Allen will also be the Utah principal broker serving as an advocate for and leader of the Salt Lake City office of sales professionals.


Cresa New Jersey Principals Part Ways with Avison Young Picking Up Second Location in the Garden State

Cresa has announced a new management team for its New Jersey commercial real estate office, following a mutual decision to part ways with two of the firm’s previous principals. The new Cresa office will feature a leadership team including Managing Principals James Scancarella and Dennis Gralla (pictured, right) as well as Principal Jonathan Marks.

Meanwhile Avison Young has acquired the other half of Cresa NJ-North/Central LLC, marking the second location in the state for the fastest-growing commercial real estate services firm. Effective immediately, CNJ is rebranded as Avison Young. Former managing principals of CNJ Tom Giannone and Ron Ganter (pictured, left) become Principals of Avison Young to grow the firm’s corporate tenant representation services throughout New Jersey. Also joining Avison Young from CNJ are Edward English, senior vice president; Elisabete Correia, operations manager; Steve Bleiweiss, senior vice president; Scott Riehl, vice president; and Brian Featherstone, advisor.
