GLOBAL

JLL Promotes 35 International Directors

Jones Lang LaSalle (NYSE: JLL) has promoted 35 colleagues across the globe to the firm's top leadership group, naming them international directors for 2013.

"Our new international directors have already made major contributions to the success of our clients and the firm. As a group, we expect that they will continue to reflect and reinforce our firm's global presence and industry leadership," said Colin Dyer, CEO of JLL, commending the group on their accomplishments.

Jones Lang LaSalle and LaSalle Investment Management are recognizing these 35 professionals for their work with clients, their roles in growing the company, and their consistent teamwork and collaboration.

NORTHERN NEW JERSEY

Medina Moves To CBRE

Gualberto "Gil" Medina, a former secretary of commerce for the State of New Jersey and longtime Cushman & Wakefield executive, has joined CBRE Group as an executive vice president in brokerage services. He will be based the firm's Saddle Brook, N.J. office and focus on local and global business development across all CBRE service lines.

Most recently the executive managing director for Cushman & Wakefield’s New Jersey offices, Medina previously served as the secretary of commerce for the state under Governor Christine Todd Whitman, and was responsible for boosting the state’s economy and making New Jersey more appealing to companies considering relocations and expansions.

At Cushman & Wakefield, oversaw the firm's three New Jersey market offices and co-founded the firm’s life science and technology practices. Medina is an attorney and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with extensive experience in technology, regulatory and administrative matters.



ATLANTA

JLL Hires Three in Atlanta

Jones Lang LaSalle has hired three industry veterans in Atlanta. Fred Fletcher and John Davis will join the firm's capital markets group as executive vice presidents, and Jeremy Becker will join the firm's public institutions group as a vice president.

Fletcher and Davis (pictured, right) are respected debt and equity experts who will work closely with international director Faron Thompson to provide strategic and value-add services to clients throughout the region in their new role.

Both Fletcher and Davis come to JLL from Spring Street Capital, an Atlanta-based, boutique, independent mortgage banking firm that the duo co-founded. Before that, Fletcher served as director of income property finance at Primary Capital Advisors, and Davis founded Brave Realty Consulting, which focused on sourcing new debt and equity capital.

Becker will assist public sector clients in cost savings across their owned or leased asset portfolios while generating new revenues and optimizing those portfolios.

Prior to JLL, Becker was the southeast political director for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) serving as the primary southeast contact for members of the US Senate and House of Representatives.



INDIANAPOLIS

CBRE Hires Cook

CBRE Group, Inc. has hired Michael Cook as a senior vice president - occupier services division. He will be based in the firm's Indianapolis office.

Cook joins CBRE after a successful tenure at DTZ, a UGL Co., as managing director of their Indianapolis office. While there he was responsible for more than 200 office transaction and 300 manufacturing, industrial and distribution assignments in 40 states and 30 countries, with a total transactional volume of more than $1.3 billion.

Cook attended Indiana University and holds an SIOR designation. He is a member of the Indiana/Kentucky Society of Industrial & Office Realtors chapter, a life-loyal Sigma Chi Fraternity member, and serves as the board president of the John P. Craine House and a board member of Junior Achievement of Central Indiana.



WASHINGTON, DC

Foa Joins JLL's Mid-Atlantic Industrial Practice Group

Robert Foa has joined Jones Lang LaSalle as a vice president in the Mid-Atlantic industrial practice group. He will be based in the firm's Bethesda office.

Foa brings more than 10 years of experience in industrial investment sales and leasing for both public and private clients including tenant representation, landlord representation, investment sales, 1031 exchanges, and buyer representation services.

"Rob’s proven success in the industrial commercial real estate space will further enhance our capabilities throughout the region," said Mark Levy, Mid-Atlantic industrial practice group leader, Jones Lang LaSalle. "He has a wide range of experience and his dynamic skill set will serve clients extremely well."



AUSTIN

Trammell Crow Hires Embrey

Bryan Embrey has joined Trammell Crow Company has vice president of development management with the firm's Austin business unit. In his new role, Embrey will oversee development, construction, preconstruction services and construction management, including the Block 1 Residential Tower at the Green Water Redevelopment.

Embrey previously served as operations director for Balfour Beatty Construction in Austin, managing a variety of projects including The Austonian, a $174 million luxury condo project, The Waters Condominiums in Horseshoe Bay, Element Condos in San Diego, the Inn of the Mountain Gods in New Mexico, Zachry Corporate HQ in San Antonio, and an academic and student services building and parking garage at the University of Texas.

A member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and Star of Texas Rodeo, Embrey received his bachelor's degree in construction science from Texas A&M University.



SOUTH FLORIDA

Glassman Mizener Joins Metro 1

Stacey Glassman Mizener has joined Metro1 as vice president of marketing and business development. Along with her marketing and public relations duties, she will be responsible for strategy, messaging, partnerships and community relations for the real estate firm under Tony Cho.

Previously, Glassman Mizener served as the associate vice president of development for the New World Symphony for nine years, securing major sponsorships, raising money for the Capital Campaign for the Frank Gehry Campus, opening the New World Center and recruiting and managing the Friends Board and Executive Committee. Before New World Symphony, Glassman Mizener worked for the Miami City Ballet.

Glassman Mizener is a graduate of University of Florida with a major in public relations and a minor in Spanish studies. She is the National Brand Ambassador for Vogue Magazine and supports Responsible Charity, The Surfrider Foundation and Community Partnership for the Homeless.



ORANGE COUNTY, CA

Osbrink Named Regional Manager at Marcus & Millichap

Bob Osbrink has joined Marcus & Millichap as a regional manager for the firm's Newport Beach office.

Osbrink brings a high level of experience that CEO John J. Kerin believes will be an asset to the Newport Beach office and Southern California area. Before joining Marcus & Millichap, Osbrink held several notable positions with the former Grubb & Ellis, including executive vice president, president of transaction services, and co-CEO.

During his career, Osbrink has also served as a member of the advisory board of the Lusk Center for Real Estate at the University of Southern California and various high-level executive positions at Irvine Company and Cushman & Wakefield.



NORTHERN NEW JERSEY

Fenlon Joins Colliers Int'l

Bradford C. Fenlon has joined Colliers International as an executive managing director. The tenant representation specialist will focus on corporate clients throughout the tri-state region as the firm expands its New Jersey brokerage team.

Prior to joining Colliers, Fenlon served as senior vice president at CBRE, and before that was a vice president at Cushman & Wakefield. Throughout his career, Fenlon has arranged more than 11 million square feet of transactions with an aggregate value of more than $1 billion, including CEI's 620,000-square-foot lease in Cranbury Twp and Srint's 95,000-square-foot lease in New York City.

"Brad is a prolific deal-maker and energetic executive who has a proven ability to develop high-performing teams and provide his clients with innovative transactions and deal structuring," said Joseph Harbert, president of Colliers International’s Eastern Region.



HOUSTON

Colvill Office Properties Welcomes Director of Leasing

Paula Bruns has joined Colvill Office Properties, one of Houston’s leading office landlord representation firms, as director of leasing. Bruns' primary focus will be marketing and leasing a portfolio of class A properties in the Houston Area totaling 5.1 million square feet.

Previously director of leasing with Hines, Bruns has 20 years of experience in commercial real estate during which she has negotiated 3 million square feet of lease deals.

Bruns is a native of Yoakum, Texas and a graduate of Texas State University, where she earned a degree in merchandising.
