Columbia Property Trust (NYSE: CXP
) tapped 25-year industry veteran Brian Berry as senior vice president of the firm's eastern region.
In his new capacity, Berry will establish a regional office in Washington, D.C. that will manage all transaction and investment management endeavors in the eastern U.S.
Prior to joining Columbia, Berry served as the president of Oak Point Investors, a property investment and advisory firm based in Tyson's Corner, VA. He has also worked for Tishman Speyer as a managing and regional director and held the position of senior vice president while with Trizec Properties.

JLL capital markets appointed Chuck Johanns to executive vice president in the firm's Chicago office.
A 20-year industry veteran, Johanns will work under Managing Director Dave Hendrickson to raise debt and equity for acquisitions and development.
Johanns comes to JLL Chicago from Houlihan Capital, where he served as managing director and head of real estate.

Former CBRE vice president Jon Copeland joined Avison Young as senior vice president in the firm's Chicago office.
Copeland will work with AV's Michael Curran, Eric Myers and Brad Despot of AY on downtown agency leasing.
A 10-year veteran, Copeland broke into the commercial real estate industry in 2004 with Grubb & Ellis before joining CBRE in 2009. In his career, Copeland has represented institutional and entrepreneurial owners, including Irvine Co., CBRE Global Investors and Shorenstein Properties.
NEW YORK CITY

Jason Schwartzenberg joined JLL as an executive vice president in the firm's New York office.
Schwartzenberg will work alongside Vice Chairman Robert Martin and his team to handle new business development and tenant representation services in the New York metropolitan area.
A 12-year industry veteran, Schwartzenberg held the position of corporate managing director for Studley and business development manager for Troy Harris Business Solutions prior to joining JLL.
NORTHERN NEW JERSEY

Avison Young in New Jersey added real estate investment specialist Steven E. Geltzeiler as a senior vice president in brokerage and transaction management.
Geltzeiler will specialize in agency and tenant representation, enterprise solutions, and transactional business work in the Morristown office.
Geltzeiler most recently served as the director of leasing at Denholtz and Associates, where he negotiated more than 3.5 million square feet in lease transactions for an aggregate value of roughly $200 million in the last six years alone.

Caddis Partners, a privately-held national healthcare real estate firm based in Dallas, tapped Jason Hinkel to step in as regional director of development.
In his new position, Hinkel will head up and expand development activities for Caddis in the Southeast region.

Carr Properties, a privately held real estate investment trust based in Washington, D.C., tapped Daniel Dooley to fill the newly created position of chief operating officer (COO). Dooley will supervise Carr's property management, leasing, asset management, construction management and marketing divisions. He will also be a part of the company's investment committee.
Dooley broke into the commercial real estate industry in 1987 with Staubach Co. Subsequent stops included positions with Trammell Crow, JMB/Heitman Properties, JLL and Studley. From 2001 right up to joining Carr, Dooley oversaw a 10 million-square-foot owned and third-party managed portfolio as a managing director of regional leasing for Tishman Speyer.

Tracy Dodson has joined Lincoln Harris, a Charlotte-based real estate firm, as vice president of brokerage and development.
Dodson will assist the office space
brokerage team and collaborate with the development team on strategic planning and entitlements of new office and mixed-use project developments.
Dodson graduated from the University of North Carolina with a bachelor's degree in architecture and psychology. She received a Master’s Degree in design studies from the Harvard Graduate School of Design.

Seasoned in a variety of commercial real estate property types including industrial, office, retail, and land, Rabin brings more than 15 years of experience to SVN. In his new role, Rabin will focus on investment sales.
TIER REIT Names New CEO and CFO

Dallas-based real estate investment trust, TIER REIT, Inc., has made two executive appointments.
Scott W. Fordham, who previously served as president, has been promoted to CEO, while Dallas E. Lucas has been hired to serve as the company's CFO.
Singh Joins MG Properties Group
