Kasselman to Lead NGKF's U.S. Industrial Practice

Geoffrey M. Kasselman has joined Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (NGKF) in Chicago where he will lead the firm’s national industrial practice. The 26-year industry veteran and former president and CEO of Op2mize, the commercial real estate advisory firm he co-founded in 2004, joins NGKF as an executive managing director.

"Geoff’s systematic approach to real estate goes beyond traditional bricks and mortar, by identifying and implementing customized client-centric solutions that improve operating efficiencies and reduce related expenses," explained Michael Sheinkop, NGKF's executive vice president and regional managing director.


Kilroy Hires Paratte to Oversee Leasing and Business Development

Kilroy Realty Corp. has brought in former Tishman Speyer managing director A. Robert Paratte to oversee the REIT's West Coast leasing and business development activities, from Seattle to San Diego. He will be based in the company’s San Francisco office.

Paratte will lead Kilroy's efforts to source new build-to-suit opportunities and cultivate and expand tenant relationships throughout its West Coast markets. He joins KRC after seven years at Tishman Speyer as managing director for global leasing and business development where he was responsible for building relationships with corporate real estate executives, both nationally and globally, and helping to secure some of the largest lease transactions in the firm’s development projects.


Former M&M Senior Exec Haddigan Joins CBRE Capital Markets

Bernard Haddigan joined CBRE as senior managing director of the capital markets group in Atlanta. He will work with Kevin Aussef to grow CBRE’s private capital group.

Haddigan joins CBRE following a 28-year career at Marcus & Millichap, where he headed up the Southern California office. He is best known for launching Marcus & Millichap's national retail group in 1998, as he oversaw and built its retail sector into one of the largest shopping center property brokerages in the United States. Under his guidance, the unit handled more than $48 billion in transactions.

Haddigan is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and co-chairs their committee webinar series.


Duke Realty Promotes Mitchell

Duke Realty promoted Edward Mitchell to regional senior vice president for its Florida operations. Mitchell will assume the responsibility of the company's Central Florida operations and its South Florida business unit as well. He will oversee leasing and management of the Florida industrial and office portfolio and identify acquisition and development opportunities.

Mitchell is a 30-year industry veteran and has overseen Duke Realty's South Florida operations since 2007. Prior to joining Duke Realty, Mitchell worked for two other commercial real estate companies in South Florida.

Haley, Whitehead Join Avison Young in Charlotte

Avison Young expanded its brokerage operation in Charlotte, naming Ted Haley a principal and A.J. Whitehead a vice president.

Haley most recently served as a vice president for corporate real estate services firm Lincoln Harris. A 13-year industry veteran, Haley steps into his new role with a focus on representing owners and end users of industrial space.

Whitehead comes to Avison Young from Grubb Properties, where he served as a commercial broker facilitating the sale, marketing and leasing of 500,000 square feet of commercial space in Charlotte. In his career, which includes serving as a vice president with Jones Lang LaSalle, Whitehead has negotiated 1.2 million square feet in lease transactions totaling more than $100 million. He will now lead office tenant-representation services as a vice president with Avison Young.


DTZ Taps Bedborough To Head Up Facility Management Operations

DTZ, the property services unit expected to be spun-off by global engineering and facilities management giant UGL Ltd., appointed Paul Bedborough to serve as its new president of facilities management in the Americas, which accounts for nearly $1 billion in business for the firm. He will be based in the firm's Boston and Chicago offices.

Bedborough brings 14 years of executive experience in the global facilities management and real estate services industry. He joins DTZ from his former position as vice president of global operations at Global WorkPlace Solutions.

Bedborough takes over from George Keches, who is leaving the firm as it transitions to a new leadership team under DTZ Global CEO Tod Lickerman and Steve Quick, chief executive of Global Corporate Services.


CBRE Promotes Montazemi

CBRE has promoted Dominic Montazemi to first vice president in its Boca Raton, FL office, where he works within the firm's private capital group (PCG) South Florida commercial team, specializing in office, industrial and land dispositions.

"Private capital investment sales is the lifeblood of the South Florida economy, and with improving fundamentals, has become even more critical over the past few years," said Ken Krasnow, managing director.


Rose Named Newest VP at Transwestern

Transwestern named Anna Mcquillan Rose as its new vice president of healthcare advisory services in Walnut Creek, CA. She will focus on the sale and leasing of medical properties in the Silicon Valley and East Bay areas.

A 15-year commercial real estate veteran, Rose was most recently with Borelli Investment Co. as director of sales and responsible for Club Auto Sport, a 120,000-square-foot commercial condominium complex.


Royce Joins Brandicorp

Jerry Royce was named vice president of leasing and development for Brandicorp, a commercial real estate company known for its retail, restaurant and hospitality sector.

Royce spent the past 15 years with Duke Realty, where he was named to the Duke Realty Sales Team of the Year three times, the Duke Realty Dealmaker of the Year twice, and the Duke Realty Sales Person of the Year once.


Powers Named VP at Molto Properties

Michael Powers has been appointed vice president of Molto Properties where he will focus on acquisitions and development projects throughout Chicago.

Powers previously held the position of director of industrial investments at Zilber Property Group. He was a finalist for Developer of the Year award at the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) Awards for Excellence and the Greater Chicago Food Depository Commercial Real Estate Awards.


Rotticci Joins Colliers Portland

Colliers International is expanding its multifamily brokerage operation with the recent hiring of Skip Rotticci, CCIM as associate vice president.

Rotticci was previously director of acquisitions at Evergreen Housing Development Group and COO of Costa Pacific Communities. In addition, he brings extensive experience working with the Urban Land Institute (ULI), having previously served as the founding chairman of the ULI Oregon/SW Washington District Council, and as the founding chairman of the ULI Transit Oriented Development National Product Council. He is also a Certified Commercial Investment Member, (CCIM).


CBRE Names New Head of Research for the Americas

Dr. Randy Anderson, Ph.D. has joined CBRE Group, Inc. as Americas Head of Research, bringing academic and hands-on experience in the commercial real estate, finance and management industries.

Based in Orlando, Anderson most recently served as principal at Blue Rock Real Estate LLC, which focused on investment of multifamily assets across the Southeast. He also worked as a professor at the University of Central Florida, significantly expanding the real estate program there. Anderson also held positions as chief economist at CNL Financial Group and Marcus & Millichap, and as founding partner of Franklin Square Capital Partners.


Maddox Joins Cushman & Wakefield

Chelsea Maddox has joined Cushman & Wakefield of Arizona as director of brokerage services, healthcare practice group. In her new role, Maddox will focus on healthcare real estate providing consulting services including leasing and sales of medical office space for owners and tenants.

Maddox spent the past year with Healthcare Trust of America, a publicly-traded REIT with a 13.6 million-square-foot medical office portfolio, where she oversaw the South/Southwest portfolios including more than 1.2 million square feet in Arizona. She previously served at Cushman & Wakefield as a senior associate in the healthcare division, and before that worked at the former Grubb & Ellis and Landmark TCN.
