CHARLOTTE

CBRE Promotes Grantham to President, GCS Americas

CBRE Group, Inc. has promoted Curt Grantham to president, global corporate services (GCS), Americas. In this new role, Grantham will oversee client and account operations, as well as all GCS regional leadership across the Americas.

Grantham will report directly to Jim Wilson, Global COO, GCS, CBRE.

Previously the executive managing director for CBRE's GCS East Division based in Charlotte, NC, Grantham led the multi-faceted team in the delivery of real estate services to a 1 billion-square-foot portfolio. He joined the former Trammell Crow Company in 1984, and served in a number of leadership roles before its merger with CBRE.

Grantham will join CBRE's Americas Operations Management Board, and will continue his membership in CBRE's GCS Executive Committee.



NORTHERN NEW JERSEY

Weichert Jr. Promoted to Co-President

Real estate and financial services company Weichert, Realtors has promoted James Weichert, Jr. to co-president of the company.

Throughout his tenure at Weichert, the younger Weichert has held various internal leadership positions, allowing him to gain an in-depth perspective of the company's internal operations.

As co-president of Weichert, Realtors, he will work alongside his father, president and founder Jim Weichert. The two will focus on further developing the company's business and enhancing customer service.

ATLANTA

Waldrop Joins Avison Young in Atlanta

Art Waldrop, an enterprise solutions specialist, joined Avison Young as a principal in its Atlanta office. He will focus on office tenant representation and serve as a member of the firm’s enterprise solutions team.

In his 20-plus years in the industry, Waldrop has been involved in roughly 3,000 transactions with a cumulative value of $1 billion. He began his career by working in corporate services for Cushman & Wakefield, then went on to serve as senior director and senior vice president at CBRE. Most recently, Waldrop held the role of managing director of DTZ’s Atlanta office.

Waldrop will be working closely with another new face to Avison Young, Rick Nash, who joined in December 2013. The two have worked together in the past and will work with corporate clients in Atlanta and the Southeast.



SAN FRANCISCO

JLL Names Newest SVP

Jones Lang LaSalle expanded its change management platform with the addition of Leila Lance to its strategic consulting team. As a senior vice president, Lance will provide counsel and develop strategies to accelerate transformational workplace and facilities-based change.

Prior to joining JLL, Lance helped establish Kaiser Permanente's national program management office for health care reform. Before joining Kaiser Permanente, Lance ran a consultancy with a focus on strategy and change management services and managing multiple large-scale global real estate initiatives, including real estate portfolio rationalization, workplace strategy, global expansion of real estate teams, outsourcing, shared services and reorganizations.

"Leila’s deep experience in leading large-scale business transformations as an expert practitioner and global executive will be instrumental in helping our clients drive enterprise change," said Peter Shannon, JLL's managing director of strategic consulting.



LAS VEGAS

Banner Joins The Equity Group

Gary Banner, formerly with Colliers International, has joined The Equity Group as a senior vice president in the firm's multifamily division. He will be based in the firm's Las Vegas office.

Brendan Keating, principal of The Equity Group, believes that Banner will enable the brokerage to grow its multifamily department, which will help increase the service level for their clients in all market segments.

During Banner’s 27 years in the industry, he has obtained the Certified Commerce Investment Member (CCIM) designation, served as president of the Commercial Alliance of Las Vegas in 2008 and 2010, and was a multifamily investment specialist for Colliers International. He has successfully represented both buyers and sellers.



DALLAS

Stream Realty Hires New SVP

Stream Realty Partners, a national real estate investment, development and services firm, hired Ryan Boozer to serve as senior vice president.

Boozer joins the firm's Dallas industrial division, serving the role of directing industrial leasing, sales, development, and acquisitions.

Boozer joins Stream Realty after spending six years at Mercer Co., where he served as vice president. During his time at Mercer, Boozer completed more than $145 million in transactions.



BALTIMORE

Cresa Baltimore Promotes Wingrat

Cresa Baltimore promoted Scott Wingrat to senior vice president in its Baltimore office.

Wingrat joined Cresa and established the Baltimore office in May 2012. He has been in the commercial real estate industry for seven years, previously working as a real estate advisor for MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate. Recently, Wingrat has conducted transactions involving Direct Energy US Home Services, G.1440/Constellation Software, HighPoint Global, National Government Services, Wood Partners and XO Communications.

Wingrat is a member of The Associated Real Estate Industry Group Committee and the AJC Real Estate Board. He graduated from Elon University with a bachelor's degree in business management.



DALLAS

Transwestern Adds to Tenant Advisory Roster

Transwestern expanded its tenant advisory platform with the addition of Roy Reis and William Sale (pictured, right) as vice presidents of tenant advisory services.

Reis brings experience from his role as an account executive with the National Commercial Real Estate Co. in Dallas, having represented various companies in both office and industrial markets. At Transwestern, Reis will target strategic portfolio planning and management for local and national corporate clients, and develop business solutions to aide clients in making optimal real estate decisions.

Sale joins Transwestern with 14 years of experience in the Dallas-Fort Worth market at CNL Commercial Real Estate and Grubb & Ellis, where he represented both landlords and tenants. Sale's concentration is in creative real estate solutions for his tenant clients.



CHICAGO

Bateman Joins Data Center Solutions Group at CBRE

CBRE appointed Todd Bateman as vice president and North American agency practice leader of its data centers solutions group in Chicago.

Focusing on portfolio management and project executive, Bateman has developed an expertise in areas of global corporate services and mission critical facilities.

As vice president of the group, Bateman will oversee the group’s advisory of owners and operators of data centers and mission critical real estate. He will also join the data center solutions group executive committee, focusing on offerings to owners of data centers.



SOUTH FLORIDA

Adler Appoints New Vice President

Adler Realty Services (ARS), a division of Adler Group, has appointed Michael Holmquist to the role of vice president. In his new role, Holmquist will take over management of two million square feet of office, retail and industrial real estate while expanding the firm's holdings in South Florida.

Holmquist brings 25 years of experience, most recently managing a private family real estate portfolio valued at over $500 million. Before that he served as general manager for Terremark Management Services, and as director of leasing for Miami International Commerce Center. He started his career at Adler Group in the late 1980s.

"Michael is an industry veteran and a valuable addition to our team," said Michael M. Adler, chairman and CEO of Adler Group. "His involvement within the community and his expertise of the South Florida market strengthens our commitment in delivering best-in-class realty services to our clients."



SAN DIEGO

NAI San Diego Hires New Vice President

Alan Cox, MSRE has joined NAI San Diego as vice president.

Cox brings more than 23 years of experience in finance, acquisitions, management, and dispositions, as well as a broad network of contacts in various disciplines throughout San Diego and Southern California. He was previously with ARCVest, Real Estate Equity.

"We are excited to have Alan join NAI San Diego. He provides an expertise that allows us to offer our clients a broader range of services," said David DeRoche, managing director at NAI San Diego. "His extensive background in the commercial real estate industry in San Diego is a good match for the NAI San Diego platform."

Cox received his Master's Degree in real estate from the University of San Diego, and is a graduate of San Diego State University.



DALLAS

KBS Taps New VP for Greater Dallas

KBS Realty Advisors promoted Ryan McManigal to vice president and market leader for the Dallas region. In his new role, McManigal will oversee a 3.7 million-square-foot portfolio and source out both dispositions and opportunistic acquisitions in the greater Dallas area.

A former investment analyst with the firm, McManigal got his start developing and assisting with valuations for office, industrial and multifamily properties as an associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Irvine, CA.

McManigal earned a business administration degree with a concentration in real estate finance and investments from The University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business.



NEW YORK CITY

JHG Announces Senior Management Transitions

Hospitality development firm The John Hardy Group (JHG) has promoted Rob Willis to managing director of its New York City office. In addition, JGH has promoted three to senior project directors, including Brenda Hilgers, Brent Hardy, and Michael Lee.

"As our portfolio of high-profile work expands, we've put an emphasis on positioning top talent throughout the country," said John Hardy, CEO and president of JHG.

  • Willis has spent more than two decades in hospitality and development, including four years at Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
  • Hardy (pictured, top right) will be tasked with opening the new office in Los Angeles. He joined JGH in 2008, and before that was with Rosemann & Associates Architects in St. Louis.
  • Lee, based in Washington DC, graduated from George Washington University and was previously with MYL Development & Services, Inc. and Thurston Companies.
  • Hilgers is a LEED Green Associate and is a member of the Project Management Institute. She started her career at Pyramid Project Management LLC.
