Ward Named New Capital Markets President at Colliers

Colliers International appointed commercial real estate investment and financing veteran Brian Ward to lead its capital markets group in the Americas. He will be based in the firm's headquarters office in Seattle.

As president of the group, Ward will oversee the delivery of capital market services and debt and equity financing arrangements on behalf of the firm's clients in Canada, Latin America and the United States. He will also be responsible for expanding the FirstService Corp. subsidiary's investment practice group in the U.S., and developing additional investment services lines focusing on specialized sectors in the capital structure.

"We are excited and proud to add Brian Ward as a member of the Colliers leadership team and a key component of our global capital markets strategy," said Dylan Taylor, CEO of the Americas for Colliers International in a statement announcing the appointment. "Brian has shown a winning ability to satisfy the needs of both borrowers and capital providers at every stage of the property ownership cycle. He has successfully grown his clients' businesses with his talent for designing, negotiating and implementing financial structures of all types and sizes."


Wilhelm Joins Jones Lang LaSalle

Jones Lang LaSalle appointed Julia Wilhelm to executive vice president in its San Francisco office.

Wilhelm brings more than 10 years of experience in the Bay Area to JLL's tenant rep team, previously serving as the managing director at Studley where she represented large law firms, tech companies and several nonprofits in office transactions. She was the first broker in San Francisco to receive LEED accreditation from the US Green Building Council and directed Studley’s sustainable real estate practice group on the West Coast.

Prior to joining Studley in 2007, Wilhelm was one of the founding brokers at Cornish & Carey Commercial. To date, Wilhelm has advised and represented tenants in more than 2 million square feet of transactions over the course of her career.

Colliers Promotes Five in Chicago

    Braddish Joins NorthMarq

    NorthMarq Capital has hired Keith Braddish as senior vice president and managing partner in the firm's New York City office. In his new role, Braddish will focus on senior / mezzanine debt, joint venture and preferred equity for commercial real estate transactions.

    Braddish brings 25 years of experience in the capital markets area, working with FHA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, CMBS, regional and local banks and life insurance companies. He covers both permanent and bridge financing for acquisitions and refinancings. Braddish previously served as an executive vice president with CBRE Capital Markets / Institutional Group, and held positions at Holliday Fenoglio & Fowler, Koeppel Tenner Real Estate Services, and Cushman & Wakefield.

    "We are very pleased that Keith has joined the NorthMarq Capital team in New York City," said Ernest DesRochers, senior vice president/managing director at NorthMarq’s New York City office.


    Latini Joins DTZ

    Daniel Latini joined DTZ in its Palo Alto office as a senior vice president.

    Most recently with Colliers International’s occupier services group, Latini brings 26 years of commercial real estate experience to DTZ’s Silicon Valley office. His career has led to more than $1 billion in lease and acquisition transactions.

    Along with other achievements, Latini was a founding member and CEO of Argus-REA, Inc., established both the Langdon Rieder Corporation's and Equis' San Francisco offices, and has received the San Francisco Business Times Lease Transaction of the Year award.


    Westervelt Rejoins MacKenzie Commercial

    Laura Westervelt is returning to MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate as a vice president in its downtown Baltimore office.

    Westervelt was most recently at CBRE, and previously worked at St. John Properties and Manekin. She has represented some of the region’s top organizations, including State Employees Credit Union, IBM, Alpha Natural Resources, Culligan and Anne Arundel Medical Center, among others.

    Westervelt received her bachelor's degree in finance from Towson University and a Master's in real estate from Johns Hopkins University.


    Cushman & Wakefield Promotes Judd

    Cushman & Wakefield of New Jersey, Inc. has promoted Andrew Judd to senior operations manager for New Jersey. With this promotion, Judd will transition from his previous role as a director of the firm's marketing and communications group to the operational side of the company's three New Jersey offices in East Rutherford, Morristown and Edison.

    Judd has worked with Cushman & Wakefield since 2004. In his former marketing roles, Judd participated in various business development efforts, as well tenant representation and corporate service assignments. Throughout the last decade, he helped to secure more than 80 million square feet of assignments from some of Cushman & Wakefield's largest clients.

    As senior operations manager, Judd will focus on maximizing service delivery to clients. He will also work to advance the regional objectives of increased market share and profitability.


    LWHA Hires Jaeger as Managing Director

    LW Hospitality Advisors has appointed Jonathan Jaeger as managing director of the firm's New York City office. In his new role, Jaeger will assist the firm in its operational, valuation, and real estate advisory services across the hospitality industry.

    Jaeger brings more than ten years of experience, having previously served as vice president with Pinnacle Advisory Group, Inc., where he founded the company's New York City office and was involved in more than 300 consulting and valuation assignments. He also worked with Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide in New York and Boston.

    "Jonathan's experience and capabilities in lodging valuation and hospitality consulting enhance the firm's senior talent and we welcome him to the LWHA family," said Daniel H. Lesser, president and CEO.


    Sabre Hires Star

    Jennifer Star was appointed a senior associate at Sabre Real Estate Group LLC as a part of its continuing efforts to expand its foothold in the New Jersey retail real estate market.

    Star has extensive experience as a tenant representative. Prior to joining Sabre, she was a broker for the retail-leasing firm RJ Brunelli & Co. She is currently working on the NJ expansion programs of Blink Fitness, Chocolate Works, Bareburger and Starbucks.

    "We have been looking for the right broker to join our New Jersey team and support our national accounts. Jen was the perfect fit for us," said Jayson Siano, managing principal of Sabre, noting that almost 40 percent of the brokerage’s business has been done away from the firm’s base on Long Island.
