DENVER

Callahan, Johnson Join DTZ

DTZ, a leading global property services firm, appointed Timothy Callahan and David H. Johnson (pictured, right) to head up the company's new Downtown Denver office.

Callahan and Johnson most recently served as managing principals for Mohr Partners, and will be tasked with expanding DTZ’s presence and multi-market services in the greater Denver area.

Callahan has 23 years in Denver commercial real estate, specializing in healthcare, professional services, technology and engineering. Johnson’s career spans 25 years and includes founding Johnson Real Estate Advisors. Prior to that, he spent seven years with Ernst & Young's national real estate advisory practice.



HOUSTON

Trammell Crow Promotes Garner, Griffin

Trammell Crow Co. (TCC) boosted its development leadership with the promotions of Jeremy Garner and Davis Griffin (pictured, right) to principals within the firm's Houston business unit.

Garner has been with TCC since 2004 and was previously a senior vice president. He will continue to lead the development of speculative and build-to-suit industrial projects throughout Houston. Garner currently oversees the development of more than 1.2 million square feet, including buildings in Lakeview Business Park and Fallbrook Pines Business Park.

Griffin has been with TCC since 2002 and currently oversees retail and medical office building developments in Houston and San Antonio. She will continue to focus on healthcare and retail development throughout central and southeast Texas, where she is responsible for all aspects of the development process.

Gilbane Development Co Promotes Broderick

Gilbane Development Co. promoted Edward Broderick to president in its Providence, RI office.

Broderick joined Gilbane Development Co. in 1982, and since that time has held many leadership positions including project manager, development manager, senior development manager, senior vice president of development, and most recently as executive vice president.

"I am pleased to appoint Ed as President," noted Gilbane Development Co.'s Chairman and CEO Robert V. Gilbane. "His consistent performance and critical thinking has been a tremendous contributor to our overall success for the past 20 years, and his vision will help lead the Company into the future."



NEW YORK CITY

Swig Equities to Share Dean with Helmsley Spear

Jonathan J. Dean has joined Helmsley Spear as senior vice president and director of leasing, in addition to his continued responsibilities at Swig Equities. The announcement comes from Kent M. Swig, president of both firms.

In his new role at Helmsley Spear, Dean will manage and supervise leasing activity of all commercial office brokers for Helmsley Spear. At Swig he holds the title of director of commercial leasing.

Before joining Swig Equities, Dean served as managing director of leasing at Jack Resnick & Sons, where he handled leasing and tenant relations for nine office buildings totaling 3.5 million square feet. While there, he completed 35 lease transactions totaling more than 620,000 square feet. Dean began his career at Cushman & Wakefield, where he leased in excess of 2.8 million square feet in over 400 transactions.



LOS ANGELES

Multifamily Specialist Andersen Rejoins Trammell Crow

Jim Andersen has re-joined Trammell Crow Co. in Los Angeles as a senior vice president, where he will source and oversee new multifamily development and investments throughout the Los Angeles market.

Andersen previously served as president at NMS Properties, Inc. in Santa Monica, CA, a multifamily developer. Prior to NMS Properties, he was the chief operating officer for Del Mar Development in Los Cabos, Mexico.

During his previous seven-year tenure with Trammell Crow, he held a variety of roles, including chief financial officer, executive vice president and area controller.



PHILADELPHIA

Doyle to Focus on Healthcare Dev, Investment at TCC

Trammell Crow Co. has named Cheri Clarke Doyle as a senior vice president, where she will focus on sourcing and overseeing healthcare development and investment opportunities in the northeast.

Clarke Doyle previously held several leadership positions at Hammes Company over the past decade, most recently serving as regional account executive and principal broker.

Prior to that, she was a strategic planner and senior living administrator with Inova Health System in Merrifield, VA. Throughout her 18-year career, she has specialized in healthcare management, senior living, strategic planning and real estate development. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.



SAN FRANCISCO

Trammell Crow Taps Little as SVP

Trammell Crow Co. appointed Don Little as senior vice president in its San Francisco office.

Little will be responsible for expanding the company's portfolio of new developments in Northern California, as well as overseeing the development of new properties through the construction and marketing approval phases.

Before joining TCC, Little was president and CEO of Don Little Group, where he was the primary advisor on more than nine million square feet of industrial and office assets throughout Northern California. Prior to overseeing his own firm, he served as senior vice president of development and Bay Area operations for Harsh Investment Properties. Some of his more high-profile projects include the 8 million-square-foot Pacific Commons mixed-use development, the 1.3 million-square-foot Fleet Industrial Supply Center, and the 4 million-square-foot Southshore Corporate Park.



PHILADELPHIA

Schenkel Joins JLL in King of Prussia

Jones Lang LaSalle hired Phil Schenkel as a vice president. Based in the firm's King of Prussia office, Schenkel will focus on both tenant representation and agency leasing.

Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Schenkel was responsible for providing landlord and tenant representation advisory services with CBRE for the past 25 years. Before that, Schenkel was an asset manager with Bell Atlantic Properties and Atlantic American Properties.

Schenkel studied American studies at Franklin and Marshall College, and is a licensed real estate salesperson in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.



GREENVILLE / SPARTANBURG

Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer Expands Capital Markets Platform

Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer boosted its capital markets division with the appointment of Michael Greer, SIOR, CCIM to the role of vice president in its Greenville, SC office.

Greer brings 15 years of experience in Greenville and Spartanburg, and has been one of the top industrial brokers in the market. He was previously a member of the armed forces, having been deployed to Afghanistan in 2011, and served as a counterterrorism officer in England and Germany, where he was awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal for his work.

Cushman & Wakefield’s goal in the Greenville area is to develop strong services for a growing economy in Greenville.



PHILADELPHIA

Binswanger Hires Vice President in King of Prussia Office

Binswanger has appointed Richard Conly as a vice president in its King of Prussia office. In his new position, Conly will be responsible for commercial real estate services in suburban Philadelphia.

Conly brings 19 years of experience in sales, brokerage, and business development. Prior to joining Binswanger, he was the principal and co-owner of Gryphon Property Group in Wayne, PA. While at Gryphon, Richard was responsible for more than 200,000 square feet in lease and sales transactions. Before that he held positions at Professional Realty Advisors, Axis Realty Partners, Brandywine Realty Trust and Newmark Grubb Knight Frank.

"We are very pleased to add Rick to our strong Suburban Philadelphia team. Rick is an experienced veteran broker that immediately improves our local, national and international coverage," said Scott Gabrielsen, president, commercial division.



PHILADELPHIA

MMCC Promotes Six Originators in the Northeast

Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation (MMCC), a leading provider of financing and capital markets products in the commercial real estate sector, has promoted six originators in the firm's Philadelphia, New Jersey and New York City offices.

John Banas, Kristopher Wood and James Conley, all in the firm’s Philadelphia office, were promoted to senior directors. Eric Seidel was promoted to associate director in the New Jersey office. Christopher Marks and Kyle Young received promotions in the firm’s Manhattan office.

"These gentlemen are among our strongest financing experts," says John Wilcox, vice president of MMCC's eastern region. "Their collective experience and knowledge make them invaluable not only to MMCC but to our clients across the nation."
