HOUSTON
Minter Brings Financing Expertise to JLL

Holly Minter joined Jones Lang LaSalle’s Capital Markets division in Houston as executive vice president. Minter, a financing expert, will focus on the capitalization of apartment assets.

The 25-year commercial real estate veteran has closed more than $6 billion in commercial property financings across the country in the past 12 years. The University of Texas grad began her career at CBRE in 1985. She most recently served as an executive vice president and principal with the firm's capital markets group in Houston where she was nationally recognized for her production.

LOS ANGELES
Top Grubb Broker Joins Avison Young in West L.A.

Avison Young hired Joseph Gabbaian as a principal. The 34-year commercial real estate veteran specializes in office investment sales and lease transactions. He will be based in the company’s six-month-old office in West Los Angeles.

Gabbaian spent the last 23 years at Grubb & Ellis, most recently as a senior vice president. He was ranked as the firm’s No. 1 broker for all of metropolitan L.A. last year. His client list included Prudential Insurance, Archstone, Dordan Properties, JSM Construction, PMI Financial and Safco Capital.

The top producer began his brokerage career in the late 1970s at Moore Commercial and six years later opened his own firm, Gabbaian & Co., both in Denver. He started his tenure at Grubb three years later.



SAN DIEGO
HFF Takes on New Senior Managing Director in San Diego

Nicholas Psyllos joined HFF in San Diego as senior managing director. The senior broker has more than 31 years of commercial real estate investment sales experience.

Prior to joining HFF, Psyllos was senior vice president of CBRE’s investment properties group. He began his career with Coldwell Banker Commercial, now CBRE, and has closed more than $3.2 billion in office and industrial sales over his career.



NEW YORK CITY
Gochman Joins Transwestern in NYC

Michael Gochman joined Transwestern as executive managing director. He will be based in the firm's northeast regional headquarters in New York City.

Gochman has more than 25 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. He previously held senior executive positions at The Rockefeller Group, Trump Organization, CBRE and TechSpace, Inc. He founded and held the position of president and CEO of Gochman Group since 2002.



ATLANTA
Updated: Greystar Taps Greystar Taps Hutchinson to Oversee Southeast Growth

Updated: Greystar, a multifamily real estate management firm, appointed Ray Hutchinson to lead the growth of its Southeast operations.

Hutchinson joined the company as senior managing director of real estate. The Atlanta-based broker will oversee the company’s Southeast property management ventures in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, the Carolinas and Kentucky.

Hutchinson has nearly 20 years of industry experience, primarily in REITs. He served as principal and founding partner at Allegiant Residential Partners in Birmingham, AL, for two years; was an executive vice president at Colonial Properties Trust where he served for nearly five years; and was a vice president at Summit Properties where his tenure lasted almost 12 years.



NEW YORK CITY
Rouse Properties Selects Schall as COO

Rouse Properties Inc. (NYSE: RSE), a shopping center real estate investment trust based in New York, named industry executive Benjamin Schall as its new chief operating officer. Schall starts next month.

The 11-year commercial real estate professional previously served as a senior vice president with Vornado Realty Trust (NYSE: VNO), an office and retail REIT. Schall’s duties included managing the company’s 140 shopping center assets, which consisted of 18 million square feet valued at more than $3 billion.



CHICAGO
NAI Hiffman Taps Roth as EVP

NAI Hiffman promoted Adam D. Roth, CCIM, SIOR to executive vice president from senior vice president.

Roth is a director with the NAI Global Logistics Group and a member of NAI Global Corporate Solutions. As part of NAI’s industrial services group for more than seven years, he has aided in real estate and supply chain solutions for warehouse and distribution companies. Roth's expertise is in land assemblage and development, corporate relocation and site search analysis.

He has assisted clients such as Wal-Mart, Devicor Medical, USAA Realty, Mirvac Industrial Trust, Liberty Property Trust and ProLogis.

Roth worked in logistics for almost 10 years before joining NAI more than seven years ago. He has acted as keynote speaker and expert witness for several organizations including the Will County Center for Economic Development, DePaul University, the University of St. Francis and the State of Illinois. Roth has been published in numerous real estate periodicals with a focus on logistics.
