Scott Coombs has joined NAI Puget Sound Properties as president.
Coombs joins the firm from Colliers International, where he was the regional managing director. Before that he was with Kidder Mathews.
In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, Coombs will be responsible for recruiting additional brokers to the firm, which currently has 45 brokers and offices in Seattle, Tacoma and Bellevue.

Brian Cooper has joined Avison Young as a principal in the firm's La Jolla, CA office.
In his new role, Cooper will focus on expanding the life sciences tenant representation practice while advising life science companies across the San Diego region.
Cooper brings 13 years of experience to Avison Young, most recently as a senior vice president with JLL in firm's life sciences group. Before that he was with Cushman & Wakefield. Throughout his career, Cooper has completed approximately 4 million square feet of lease and sale transactions valued in excess of $800 million.

J. Scott Robinson, MAI, SRA, AI-GRS will take over as president of the Appraisal Institute, beginning a one-year term on Jan. 1, 2016.
Robinson, of Salisbury, NC, has been active in real property appraisal and consulting since 1987 when he joined Robinson Associates. He joined the Appraisal Institute as a candidate for the SRA designation in 1987, and has been active in the regional and national levels since 1991, serving a four-year term on the national board of directors and as chair of Region V. He most recently served as president-elect for the 2015 term.

NAI Capital has hired Jerry Gillman as executive vice president and branch manager to oversee its Los Angeles South Bay operations.
Previously a managing director with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank where he was one of the top producers in the South Bay office, Gillman has more than 40 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry and has represented over 200 million square feet of industrial property transactions throughout his career.
Gillman broke into the business with the former Grubb & Ellis, joining Colliers Seeley in 2000 and rejoining Grubb & Ellis following the firm's acquisition.

Bob Schneiderman has joined Colliers International South Florida LLC as an executive vice president, occupier services in the firm's Palm Beach Gardens, FL office.
Schneiderman will lead and continue to grow the corporate and occupier services business line across the South Florida region. His experience includes tenant representation, corporate advisory services, renewal representation, financial and market analysis, project lasing and real estate consulting.
Schneiderman received a bachelor's of business administration from Washington University in St. Louis and holds an MBA from George Washington University in Washington, DC. He has been honored as a member of NAI’s Gold Club, and was inducted into the NAI Hall of Fame in 2008.

Lezlie Plastino was promoted to senior property manager at Kidder Mathews' Bellevue, WA office.
Before joining the team, Plastino was the general manager of investments for Schnitzer West, where she managed a 1.2 million-square-foot portfolio.
Before that she was a vice president of property manager for Kidder Mathews' South Seattle office, overseeing a portfolio of 6 million square feet of industrial and office space. Plastino brings with her 25 years of experience in portfolio management.

Bob Hooshley has joined Morguard Corp. as director of land development.
In his new role, Hooshley will focus on industrial land sales and development in the Greater Toronto Area. He joins the firm from DTZ Canada, where he spent the last eight years as a broker.
After graduating from The University of Guelph and University of Western Ontario with degrees in engineering, Hooshley worked as a consulting engineer for 12 years and later served as a branch manager for Proctor and Redfern in Peel Region before breaking into the commercial real estate industry as vice president with Metrus Development.
