Colliers Names New Head of US Brokerage Ops

Colliers International has promoted Martin Pupil, west region president to president of its U.S. brokerage operations.

Pupil, currently based in Irvine, CA, previously served as executive vice president and general manager in Colliers' Montreal office from 2004 to 2007, where he was tasked with integrating the company’s purchase of The Seeley Co. Pupil later was regional managing director for the greater Los Angeles region before being named to the then newly-created position of president of the southwest region.

WPT Industrial Promotes Cimino to COO

WPT Industrial Real Estate Investment Trust promoted longtime executive Matthew J. Cimino, adding chief operating officer to his roles as general counsel and secretary of the Toronto-based REIT.

Cimino is a member of the board of managers and serves as the general counsel of Welsh and of WPT Capital, overseeing all legal operations for the firms. Cimino previously served as Welsh's senior corporate counsel. He also currently serves as the chairman of the NAIOP National Forum for Real Estate Law and Transactions.

JLL Appoints Gonterman to CIO, Americas

JLL has tapped Matthew Gonterman to serve as chief information officer, Americas. Based in Chicago, he will be responsible for driving growth by providing innovative, integrated technology solutions for JLL and its clients in the Americas.

Gonterman was previously senior vice president and CIO at SIRVA Inc., a global moving and relocation service provider. Before that, he held several IT leadership positions for more than 10 years with General Electric.

Granite Taps Crombie REIT CEO as Trustee, Director

Granite Real Estate Investment Trust has appointed Donald Clow to its Board of Trustees and its Board of Directors.

Clow is the president and CEO of Crombie Real Estate Investment Trust, a Nova Scotia-based, open-ended real estate investment trust that owns $4 billion of retail and office space throughout Canada. He joined Crombie after having served as president of ECL Developments Ltd., a real estate development subsidiary of Empire Company Ltd. Before that he spent nearly 17 years with Southwest Properties Ltd.

Cushman & Wakefield Expands Capital Markets Team

Cushman & Wakefield has hired a team of real estate debt and equity specialists led by Robert Kaplan as an executive managing director. Kaplan brings his team of Chris Lentz as a senior director and Mark Rutherford as an analyst.

Kaplan and his team are the newest members of Cushman & Wakefield’s growing equity, debt and structured finance group. The trio joins the firm from Ackman-Ziff.

Lawrence Joins Singer as Executive Managing Director

Robert Lawrence has joined boutique real estate finance intermediary Singer & Bassuk Organization as an executive managing director in the firm's New York City office.

During his career, Lawrence has originated more than $10 billion in completed loan transactions, most recently serving as senior managing director and co-head of origination at Guggenheim Commercial Real Estate Finance. Before that he was a managing director with JP Morgan Chase & Co.



SAN FRANCISCO

CBRE Brings Back Kircher to Head Up Bay Area

CBRE Group has confirmed that Matt Kircher will be returning as managing director and executive vice president for retail leasing in the Bay Area. Kircher will be responsible for directing the retail leasing platform while offering advisement on the company's retail strategy throughout the Americas.

Kircher, a 27-year veteran, will be leaving Cushman & Wakefield/Terranomics where for the last 20 years he has led a group of 30 retail professionals throughout six Northern California offices.

Stan Johnson Company Hires Helm

Myles Helm has joined Stan Johnson Company as a regional managing director. In his new role, Helm will take the helm of the firm's west region from its downtown Los Angeles, CA office as the company continues to expand its presence in the west.

Prior to joining Stan Johnson Company, Helm served CBRE as the South Bay area managing director. Before that he held various leadership positions with Trizec Properties, Charles Dunn Company and DAUM Commercial.

Inland Securities Adds Two Regional Vice Presidents

Inland Securities Corporation has hired Ronald Cole and Jeff Spah as vice presidents.

Based in New York City, Cole will be responsible for building networks in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island, Vermont and New Hampshire. In Minneapolis, MN, Spah will oversee relationships in Minnesota, Iowa, North Carolina, South Dakota and Nebraska.



ATLANTA

Steen Joins Pinnacle as Regional Vice President

Theresa Steen has left Carroll Management to join multifamily management firm Pinnacle as a regional vice president.

In her new role, the 23-year industry veteran will oversee 8,500 apartments located throughout Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina and North Carolina. In addition to her time at Carroll Management, Steen has served as regional vice president at Ambling Management Co. as well as vice president of property management at Tribridge Residential.
