Avison Young Opens Office in Denver

Toronto-based Avison Young continued its U.S. expansion with the opening of an office in Denver, CO, its 21st market outside of Canada. The new AY office will be staffed by former members of two Denver-based firms: iCG Denver LLC, known as iCORE Global, and The Ruschmeyer Corp.
Alec Wynne and Justin Rayburn, both formerly with iCG, were named principals, with Wynne also serving as managing director of the office. Phil Ruschmeyer of The Ruschmeyer Corp. joined as a senior vice president.

Sulentic Takes Helm at CBRE Group

CBRE Group Inc. (NYSE: CBG
) announced that the firm's president (and former Trammell Crow Co. CEO) Robert E. Sulentic took over as CEO of the world’s largest commercial real estate services firm on December 1, replacing the retiring Brett White.
White, who led CBRE as its chief executive since 2005, oversaw substantial growth of client services and global capabilities of the company. His signature achievements include the acquisition of Trammell Crow in 2006 and the even bigger acquisition of the ING Real Estate Investment Management business in 2011.
Sulentic joined CBRE following the acquisition of Trammell Crow, where he had served as CEO. He was appointed president of CBRE in 2009 and will retain his current position. Sulentic also joined the board of directors, which has expanded to 11 members, and global operating committee of CBRE as part of his promotion to the top job.
NAI Global Appoints Olshonsky to Senior Executive Role

NAI Global, a worldwide network of real estate firms, has named Jay Olshonsky as president of the firm. In his new role he will report directly to Geoff Woodward, senior managing director of C-III Capital Partners, NAI's parent company. Olshonsky is replacing Jeffrey Finn as senior executive at the firm, while Finn will serve as an advisor throughout the transition period.
Previously serving as executive vice president and chief operating officer of NAI Global in New York City, Olshonsky brings more than 25 years of experience to his new role.
Prior to joining NAI Global in 2010, Olshonsky served as managing director at CBRE for 15 years, running the Washington, DC office with more than 75 brokers, 200 employees and over $100 million in revenue.

Cushman - Thalhimer Adds Weinstein to Expand Capital Markets Team

Todd Weinstein joined the Richmond office of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer as senior vice president in the capital markets group where he will lead the firm's multifamily advisory business throughout central Virginia and Hampton Roads.
With more than 10 years of experience in multifamily investment sales, Weinstein has been involved in multifamily dispositions totaling more than $3 billion and represented such clients as Aimco, Archstone-Smith, C-III Capital Partners, Equity Residential, Pantzer Properties and Principal Global Investors, among others.
After earning an M.B.A. from Vanderbilt University, Weinstein spent three years with Archstone-Smith before shifting his focus to multifamily investment sales with CBRE and most recently Jones Lang LaSalle.
CBRE Promotes Armstrong

Kevin Armstrong was promoted to managing director and market leader at the Milwaukee, WI, office of CBRE.
The position became available when his predecessor, Tim Bauer, accepted a position at The James Campbell Co.
Armstrong has worked in commercial real estate for 20 years and held multiple distinguished positions during his tenure with CBRE and The Polacheck Co., most recently serving as a senior vice president.
