Cushman & Wakefield Taps Schoelch as President of New Property Management Division

Robert Schoelch has joined Cushman & Wakefield | Gateway Commercial in St. Louis as president of its new Gateway Commercial Management Services.

In his new role, Schoelch will lead the firm's property management division while overseeing the day-to-day operations of a 1.8 million-square-foot portfolio of owned and managed properties. The firm is currently undergoing an aggressive market-focused growth strategy.

Schoelch brings 29 years of commercial real estate management experience across all property types. He previously served as vice president of property management with Duke Realty Corporation and as vice president of asset management for Commercial Development Company.

Bonnell, Wilkinson Named Managing Partners at The UIP Cos.

The UIP Cos. of Washington, D.C. promoted Peter Bonnell, senior vice president of UIP asset management, and Heath Wilkinson, president of UIP General Contracting, to managing partners.

The pair are the first to join company founders Steve Schwat and Wout Coster as full partners. Bonnell has been with the company since 2004 and will continue to focus on acquisitions and asset management. Wilkinson joined UIP in 2007 and will continue to expand UIPGC’s third party business relationships and provide general contracting services for UIP development and renovation projects.

Nikitas Named Managing Director of Avison Young

Danny Nikitas has taken on the role of managing director for Avison Young's Chicago office.

Nikitas previously was executive vice president of leasing for with MB Real Estate. He has been involved in more than 500 lease deals totaling 4.5 million square feet of office space in the Chicago area throughout his career.

Nikitas's new position will oversee daily operations in the Avison Young Chicago office, along with working to expand the firm's presence in the Midwest.

Nikitas replaces Michael McKiernan, the firm's former managing director in Chicago. After spending the past five years in that role, McKiernan will move into a senior production position focusing on the industrial sector, representing national and regional clients of Avison Young.


Montgomery Joins Griffin Partners

Andrew Montgomery joined Griffin Partners as executive vice president - head of acquisitions.

Montgomery was previously at Hines, where he served as managing director. While at Hines, Montgomery handled multiple transactions totaling more than $4.1 billion of office, industrial, and multifamily space. This translates to involvement with real estate transactions in excess of 18 million square feet on behalf of various Hines-controlled funds.


Molnar Joins CBRE San Diego

Adam Molnar has joined CBRE in San Diego as a first vice president. Molnar specializes in the leasing and sale of industrial properties in San Diego’s North County areas.

As a 15-year veteran of the industry, Molnar has represented clients such as Hamann Properties, BLT Enterprises, Green Properties, DDH, Flatiron, Schultz Family Trust, Rexford Industrial and Burke Real Estate Group. Before joining CBRE, Molnar was a broker at Colliers International.

Molnar is a member of CCIM and NAIOP, and is a former president of the City of Vista Economic Development Association.


Ostendorf-Morris Promotes Three in Cleveland

    Henry S. Miller Makes Two Executive Appointments

    Henry S. Miller tapped Chris Burrow as vice president of the investments/land division and Jeff McKenney as vice president of its HSM Dalcon development group.

    In his new role, Burrow will focus on the Dallas/Ft. Worth urban core. Burrow started his real estate career with the Miller Co.'s real estate investment banking group, where he eventually served as the senior vice president of the investment properties and international divisions of the Miller Co. Then, he was CFO/COO of the Episcopal School of Dallas before returning to Miller.

    McKenney will be focusing on residential land development throughout Texas and surrounding states. Prior to joining Henry S. Miller, McKenney was transaction manager at JLL Americas in Dallas and director of land development at Prime Income Asset Management.


    Novak Joins CBRE

    Shawn Novak joined CBRE in its downtown Chicago office.

    As a vice president within CBRE's data center solutions group, Novak will lead the consulting engagements nationwide for organizations requiring data center mission critical facilities strategies and solutions.

    Prior to joining CBRE, Novak worked as a managing director at the 451 Group within the company's digital infrastructure planning advisors. He also served as a principal consultant at Uptime Institute, a sister company of the 451 Group, where he led global data center strategies.


    Pohl Joins Resource Real Estate as VP of Acquisitions

    Resource Real Estate has recruited Susan Pohl to serve as vice president of acquisitions, where she will expand the firm's value-add real estate investing.

    Prior to joining RRE, Pohl was the vice president of acquisitions at KC Venture Group, where she was responsible for acquiring multifamily property throughout the Southwestern and Southeastern U.S.

    After serving in analyst, business development director, and acquisitions manager roles for various Texas- based real estate development firms, Pohl was vice president of acquisitions at Flagship Properties Corp. and The Morgan Group, where she was responsible for acquiring class A and class B, value-add multifamily assets.


    Marino Joins NAI Cummins Real Estate

    NAI Cummins recently added to its commercial real estate ranks by hiring Lon Marino as an account executive.

    Marino, a 25-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry, specializes in the industrial and transportation sectors of the CRE industry and has experience managing a wide array of real estate transactions.

    Prior to joining NAI Cummins, Marino was a real estate manager at Roadway Express. In this role, he was responsible for managing all aspects of a portfolio of 600+ CRE properties. Not only was Marino responsible for market analysis, site selection, and structuring business deals, but he also managed lease renewals, build-to-suit projects, and government property transactions.


    Cushman & Wakefield Promotes Karali

    Cushman & Wakefield of New Jersey, Inc. has promoted Nichols Karali to financial analysis manager. In his new role, Karali will oversee the transaction process from underwriting and marketing to due diligence and closing.

    Karali has been with the firm's New York Metropolitan Area Capital Markets Group, focusing on retail investment sales and acquisitions, since joining the company three years ago.

    Karali earned a degree in finance and accounting from McGill University in Montreal. He resides in Hoboken, NJ.
