INDIANAPOLIS

Jackiw Joins Milhaus Management as President

Milhaus Management LLC has tapped Alexandra Jackiw, CPM as president. In her new role, Jackiw will lead all property management and operations for the firm's multifamily portfolio, as well as leading the expansion into management services for select third-party clients.

"Alex is recognized both regionally and nationally as one of the most accomplished property management leaders in the industry and we are fortunate she is joining our team," said Tadd Miller, co-founder of Milhaus.

Jackiw is actively engaged in the multifamily industry and holds CPM and CAPS designations. Additionally, Jackiw is involved with the National Affordable Housing Management Association, Institution of Real Estate Management, Housing Education and Research Association, and CREW Indianapolis. She served on the board of the National Apartment Association, National Multi Housing Council, as well as the Residential Property Management Advisory Boards of both Virginia Tech and Ball State University.



NEW YORK CITY

Carlton Group Expands Exec Team with Three New Hires

The Carlton Group has appointed three new top executives at its New York City headquarters.

Navish Chawla has been hired as chief investment officer. In this new role, he will be responsible for overseeing the firm's principal investment strategy and business development initiatives.

Bob Hasan (pictured, right) joins the firm as a senior vice president of asset management, tasked with managing the assets within Carlton Strategic Ventures.

In addition, Rebekah Flig has been hired as director of marketing and public relations, where she will oversee all marketing strategies for the firm's platforms.

AUSTIN

Avison Young Acquires Austin Real Estate Firm

Toronto-based Avison Young has acquired Commercial Texas, LLC, an Austin, Texas-based commercial real estate services firm, giving it 11 new employees and a new office in Texas.

Following the acquisition, former Commercial Texas brokers Michael Kennedy, Carl Condon, Chrissy Cornelius and Burke Kennedy were named principals of Avison Young. Michael Kennedy (pictured, left), who was the founder, president and principal owner of Commercial Texas, was named managing director of AY's new Austin office.

Also joining the fast-growing Canadian firm from Commercial Texas were John Baird as senior vice president; Ryan Rice as associate; Patrick Kennedy as operations manager; Andrew Alizzi as research coordinator, Susan Murray as administrative coordinator; Danielle Percy as client service coordinator; and Randa Stringer, marketing coordinator.



SAN ANTONIO

Principals Named at Travis Commercial

Travis Commercial Real Estate Services promoted Lisa Crane Villarreal and Roger Hill III to principals in its San Antonio office.

A 28-year industry veteran, Villarreal joined Travis Commercial in 2007 and is primarily responsible for leasing several Class A office buildings in suburban San Antonio. Her prior experience includes developing and implementing strategies to support the real estate objectives of clients.

Hill joined Travis Commercial in 2005, and has since expanded the company’s list of clients as well as its service lines including land acquisitions and dispositions. He specializes and excels in acquisition and disposition of industrial buildings and investment properties.



CHICAGO

Transwestern Adds Pair

Transwestern's Chicago office has hired Andrew G. Kelly as executive vice president of the firm’s tenant advisory services team. Kelly brings 18 years of industry experience, specializing in large professional services firms with multiple locations.

Transwestern also recently added Bradley Migdal to its Chicago industrial team in Rosemont, IL. Migdal, a 10-year industry veteran, will serve as executive managing director of industrial site selection, joining the new 25-person industrial team that Transwestern brought on through the acquisition of Epic Realty Partners in January 2014.



BOSTON

Jarosz Joins JLL's Industrial Practice Group

Ed Jarosz joined JLL as an executive vice president with the firm's industrial practice group. In his new role, Jarosz will specialize in representing tenants, landlords and investors in the leasing and sale of industrial, research & development and distribution space throughout Greater Boston.

Prior to joining JLL, Jarosz worked at CBRE/New England, where he was a member of its New England industrial team. His career includes more than 14 years of commercial real estate experience.

Jarosz earned his bachelor's degree from Amherst College and is a member of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board.



WASHINGTON DC

Wauters Joins Perkins+Will

Drake Wauters, AIA, CSI, IES, LEED AP, joined the international architecture and design firm Perkins+Will as technical director and associate principal, a role that will allow him to support each project in the Washington D.C. metro area from origin to completion.

Wauters, who is a member of the firm's Excellence in Execution leadership network, will also look to help improve reviews, coordination and quality assurance.

In a career that spans nearly 30 years, Wauters has worked on more than 30 million square feet of commercial development, and in that time has served as an analyst, design-discipline integrator, risk-control adviser and technical resource.



AUSTIN

SRS Appoints Powell to First VP in Austin

SRS Real Estate Partners (SRS) named T.J. Powell first vice president in the firm's Austin, TX office. In his new position, Powell will focus on tenant and landlord representation.

Prior to joining SRS, Powell worked on third party project leasing and tenant representation for Retail Solutions. In his four-year career, Powell has worked with a nationally recognized clientele roster that includes HEB, Firehouse Subs and Wells Fargo.

Powell earned a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University and a Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law.



MILWAUKEE/MADISON

Commercial Property Associates Promotes Wussow to Partner

Commercial Property Associates, Inc. has promoted Mark Wussow to partner in its Milwaukee, WI headquarters.

Wussow joined CPA-WI as a leasing agent more than ten years ago. Most recently serving as a retail broker, he has handled acquisitions, development projects, site selections and tenant representations on a regional, national and international level for the firm.

Wussow is active in International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Retail Brokers Network.



SAN FRANCISCO

Cassidy Turley Adds to Growing Property Management Group

Cassidy Turley hired Kimberly Smith as senior vice president with responsibility for all operational aspects of managing and developing property management in the Western United States.

Smith has managed seven million square feet of office and industrial assets throughout her career. Before joining Cassidy Turley, she was a senior vice president with the Irvine, CA-based The Koll Co. She also worked at CBRE as director of asset services in Phoenix.



SOUTH FLORIDA

Moss & Associates Appoints New VP

Alexander Smith, Jr. has joined Moss & Associates as the new vice president and project executive. Based in the firm's Fort Lauderdale, FL office, Smith will oversee project management, development and implementation of scheduling logistics, overseeing costs, quality and safety control, contract administration, and owner and subcontractor negotiations.

Smith brings 18 years of construction industry experience, having most recently served as vice president of operations for Plaza Construction Group of Florida LLC, in Miami.

Smith received his bachelor's degree in building construction from the M. E. Rinker, Sr. School of Building Construction at the University of Florida. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he was an in-flight instructor.



HOUSTON

Colvill Office Properties Promotes Guion

Colvill Office Properties promoted Marilyn Guion from director of leasing to vice president in its Houston office.

In her new role, Guion will handle marketing, leasing and advisory services for the firm's institutional clients. Guion, who is also a certified public accountant, manages leasing for a 4.3 million-square-foot portfolio that includes Galleria Office Towers, City Centre and Kirby Grove. Colvill currently directs the leasing and marketing of approximately 19.4 million square feet of class A space in Houston and Dallas.

Guion earned a bachelor's of business administration from Texas Christian University.



PHOENIX

Hines Completes Strategic Expansion of Phoenix Team

Hines has hired four new employees and promoted an additional four employees to boost is robust and strategic Phoenix team. All told, the eight employees have decades of experience in development, property management, and construction.

"We’re cultivating a talented team to reflect Hines’ strong commitment and further investment in the Phoenix marketplace," said Chris Anderson, managing director of Hines.
