Cisco Tower, a 12-story, 283,000-square-foot
office building in Santa Clara, CA owned and managed by Shorenstein Properties LLC, has earned LEED Platinum certification from the US Green Building Council.
Platinum is the highest certification under the USGBC's rating system for existing buildings operations & maintenance (EBOM) established in 2009. Cisco Tower is one of only six commercial office buildings in South Bay to have received platinum certification, and it raises the number of Shorenstein properties to achieve LEED certification of Silver or higher to 18 in the past three years.
Improvements to the building include addressing energy efficiency, whole-building cleaning and maintenance issues, recycling programs, exterior maintenance and systems upgrades. The changes will help the property improve maintenance and operations while maximizing efficiency and minimizing environmental impacts.
Shorenstein recently received LEED Gold Certifications at three more of its properties in Burbank, CA; New York City and Washington, DC.
