Suffolk Construction has hired Joshua Christensen as its vice president of Florida West Coast operations. In his new role, Christensen will oversee day-to-day operations for the firm's operations in the region.
With more than 17 years of industry experience, Christensen formerly served with a large construction management firm, where he drove its growth in the education, commercial and multifamily sectors. Most recently he held the title of senior project executive, managing the successful pursuit of a $113 million project in Washington, D.C.
Christensen graduated from Florida State University with a degree in civil engineering.
Suffolk is growing its presence in the state, embarking on multiple projects including JW Marriott Marquis and Wells Fargo Center, Miami Beach Senior High School, and the Las Olas River House. Suffolk is currently managing the Met III in Miami, Jade Signature, Sinai Residences, Dania Casino, and Jai Alai. Christensen will oversee a team currently completing The Jewel of Sarasota, Aria of Longboat Key, Moorings Park assisted living facility and Naples Square.
