Robert Aldrich has joined Cassidy Turley in Atlanta as managing director in its Capital Markets group where he will handle investment sales and provide investment advisory, asset management and project consulting services for clients in major markets across the U.S.
Clark Gore, regional managing principal for Cassidy Turley in Atlanta, said Aldrich's overseas experience and contacts with European investors will enable Cassidy Turley to better serve European firms that invest and own commercial property in the U.S.
"Robert brings Cassidy Turley vast expertise directing individual transactions, as well as providing strategic expertise at the portfolio level," said Gore. "He’s highly regarded as a cross-border investment expert and is recognized as an ambassador to foreign capital."
For the past two years, Aldrich has been an asset manager and investment advisor on behalf of foreign and domestic clients. Before going out on his own as an investment advisor to foreign banks, Aldrich directed real estate investments in the U.S. on behalf of Wealth Capital Management Inc., a division of Munich-based Hypovereinsbank, from 2007-2011, and for Blue Capital Management, a division of Vereins und Westbank in Hamburg, from 2004-2007.
Over the past eight years, Aldrich has represented clients that have made more than $1.5 billion in sales and acquisitions. Major transactions include the $106 million sale of Miami Tower in downtown Miami and the $172 million sale of 2099 Pennsylvania Ave. in Washington, DC, in 2008. Other notable transactions in which he has been involved include The Bank of America Center in Orlando, Platinum Tower in Atlanta and 1 Toronto Street in Toronto.
