Cassidy Turley appointed John Benziger as its new regional managing principal in the Washington, DC, metro region, where he will assume management responsibilities for the firm's three regional offices in Washington, DC, Tysons Corner, VA, and Bethesda, MD, a role previously held by Joe Stettinius, who was recently promoted to CEO of of the firm in October.
Benziger joins Cassidy Turley from the Washington, DC office of Lincoln Property Co., where he served as a senior vice president and managed the leasing transactions for tenants, local developers and institutional owners.
The major appointment represents a homecoming of sorts for Benziger. From 1984 to 2002, he was a top broker for Cassidy & Pinkard, the predecessor firm to Cassidy Turley in Washington.
Benziger serves on the District of Columbia Building Industry Association (DCBIA) Programming Committee and is also a recipient of the Sales Transaction of the Year and Leasing Transaction of the Year awards from the Greater Washingtom Commercial Association of Realtors (GWCAR).
