Carr Properties, a privately held real estate investment trust based in Washington, D.C., tapped Daniel Dooley to fill the newly created position of chief operating officer (COO).
In his new role, Dooley will supervise Carr's property management, leasing, asset management, construction management and marketing divisions. He will also be a part of the company's investment committee.
"As we continue to build Carr Properties into one of the preeminent owners, managers and developers of office properties in the Washington, D.C. region, we were looking for someone who had a deep understanding of the local market with experience in both operations and leasing and a strong customer service orientation," said Oliver T. Carr, III, CEO of Carr Properties.
Dooley broke into the commercial real estate industry in 1987 with Staubach Co. Subsequent stops included positions with Trammell Crow, JMB/Heitman Properties, JLL and Studley. From 2001 right up to joining Carr, Dooley oversaw a 10 million-square-foot owned and third-party managed portfolio as a managing director of regional leasing for Tishman Speyer.
Dooley earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Southern Methodist University.
