|Navish Chawla, Bob Hasan Join Carlton Group Executive Team|
The Carlton Group has appointed three new top executives at its New York City headquarters.
has been hired as chief investment officer. In this new role, he will be responsible for overseeing the firm's principal investment strategy and business development initiatives.
Chawla brings more than 10 years of real estate experience, having held positions at Private Equity and Global Investment Management. Throughout his career he has underwritten and managed more than $2 billion in real estate transactions globally. Chawla most recently served as portfolio manager for a private equity fund with a $500 million portfolio, and before that handled acquisition and asset management for Blackrock's core and value-add funds.
An active member of ULI and other commercial real estate associations, Chawla graduated summa cum laude with a Master's Degree in real estate from New York University and holds a bachelor's degree in finance / economics from Rutgers University.
joins the firm as a senior vice president of asset management, tasked with managing the assets within Carlton Strategic Ventures, which owns and manages more than 3 million square feet for the firm's clients.
Hasan previously served as senior asset manager with GE Capital Real Estate, handling management and performance of a $750 million portfolio including 5.5 million square feet of retail, office, industrial and multifamily assets. He also held various roles at Prudential Financial.
Hasan graduated cum laude with an MBA and bachelor's degrees in finance from Seton Hall University. He is active in CCIM and IREM, as well as numerous charitable and community organizations.
In addition, Rebekah Flig
has been hired as director of marketing and public relations, where she will oversee all marketing strategies for the firm's platforms.
Flig brings more than 10 years of experience in commercial mortgage banking, holding various marketing and business development roles for real estate advisory and mortgage servicing firms, and worked with banks and hedge funds while sourcing distressed mortgage portfolios for acquisition and sale.
Flig holds a Master's Degree in real estate finance from New York University and a BBA in finance from George Washington University.
