Cushman & Wakefield has brought in Ronald T. Lo Russo to serve as president of its high profile New York Tri-State regional operation. He previously was a vice president of leasing for the New York office division of Vornado Realty Trust.

At just 38 years of age, Lo Russo becomes a member of the firm’s executive management team in the U.S., reporting directly to Cushman's president and CEO for the Americas, Jim Underhill. Lo Russo's primary responsibility will be to oversee brokerage operations in the firm's nine regional offices throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

Cushman & Wakefield's former Tri-State president Suzy Reingold was recently promoted to chief operating officer of the New York region. Lo Russo's hiring and Reingold's promotion helps address the departure last year of Joseph Harbert, Cushman & Wakefield's former New York COO, who resigned to move over to the New York office of Colliers International.

"Cushman & Wakefield is focused on hiring and developing the best professionals in the industry, with a focus on our next generation of leaders, and the addition of Ron is indicative of that strategy," said Underhill.

Lo Russo said he was attracted to the position because of the reputation Cushman & Wakefield has in the market. "It is known in the industry that the firm has great new leadership, and some of the most talented brokerage professionals, many of whom I’ve worked with on transactions," he said.

Lo Russo graduated from the Stern School of Business in 1996, and earned a law degree from New York Law School. He is licensed to practice in NY and NJ and is chairman for the Young Men’s/Women’s Real Estate Association.
