CBRE promoted its top Atlanta-based real estate executive to president of the firm's Southeast Region.

John Ferguson has led CBRE’s Southeast Region since January 2011, overseeing operations in Atlanta, Birmingham, Charlotte, Charleston, Greenville, Nashville and Savannah and manages relationships with the firm's affiliates in Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

A former tenant rep specialist, Ferguson previously served as market leader for CBRE’s Atlanta office. Before joining CBRE, Ferguson served as president of McGriff Siebels & Williams of Georgia, a risk management and insurance firm in Atlanta.

CBRE cited Ferguson's leadership in the acquisition and integration of three firms in the past 15 months as among his top accomplishments.

"John is a clear leader in the Atlanta business community. He has an impeccable track record of recruiting, developing and retaining top teams, is among our very best leaders in new business development, and has excelled at identifying, executing and integrating M&A opportunities," said Jim Reid, CBRE’s President, Eastern Division, in announcing the promotion.
