Gil Borok was promoted to chief financial officer of CB Richard Ellis Group Inc. He takes over from Bob Sulentic who will continue as CBRE’s president running day-to-day operations and principal business activities worldwide. Both will report to CEO Brett White. Borok will also oversee global human resources while based out of Los Angeles.

He joined the company’s corporate finance group eight years ago as corporate controller. Borok most recently served as chief accounting officer and CFO of its Americas operations. He took on the role of interim CFO for three months in late 2008/early 2009.

In other company news, Jeffrey Ackerman, Jennifer Pierson and Christina Roush assumed the national leadership reins of CB Richard Ellis Group’s Private Client Group. The unit, a subset of CBRE Investment Properties Group, represents individual investors.

Chad Brue, a senior managing director who has led PCG since 2006, will stay in Denver and continue to co-lead CBRE’s National Loan Sale Advisory group, which focuses on small balance loan dispositions in the U.S.

Pierson will head PCG's central region and will also have overall responsibility for the management of the group nationally. The senior vice president presently leads CBRE’s Retail Private Client Group in Dallas, and represents private capital investors in the north Texas region.

Ackerman, a 25-year industry veteran, will head PCG's eastern region. He currently leads PCG as an executive vice president in the firm’s Pittsburgh office. Ackerman has closed more than $2 billion of commercial property transactions, and is ranked as one of the firm’s top producers locally and nationwide.

Roush has more than 22 years of experience and will direct the western region while based in San Diego. The senior vice president spent nearly 20 years with CBRE in Las Vegas as a locally and nationally ranked top producer. Roush has been involved in more than $1.8 billion worth of investment property sales and represented more than 5.9 million square feet in property transactions.

The new managing directors will continue to represent clients in their respective markets. Stephanie Seno was named associate director and will support the PCG trio with day-to-day operations and communications within the national practice while based in Dallas with Pierson.
