CBRE Group has confirmed that Matt Kircher will be returning as managing director and executive vice president for retail leasing in the Bay Area.

Kircher, a 27-year veteran, will be leaving Cushman & Wakefield/Terranomics where for the last 20 years he has led a group of 30 retail professionals throughout six Northern California offices.

Working closely with Anthony Buono, chairman of CBRE's global retail executive committee, Kircher will be responsible for directing the retail leasing platform while offering advisement on the company's retail strategy throughout the Americas.

In 1994, prior to his tenure at Cushman & Wakefield's forerunner Terranomics, Kircher launched his career at CBRE spending his first five years in retail real estate in the Bay Area. Terranomics and its successors every year have ranked Mr. Kircher as on the top Bay Area retail professionals where he additionally served for six years as the president and chairman of ChainLinks Retail Advisors, a nationwide network of retail real estate professionals.

Kircher works with investors and retailers representing a number of national and international retailers in the Bay Area, managing the leasing of several major shopping centers and has managed several projects from development to completion.
