BP Extends 240,000-SF Lease at CME Center

Commits to Tishman Speyer with Long-Term Renewal
January 3, 2018
Tishman Speyer retained one of its anchor tenants at the CME Center in Chicago's West Loop with the signing of BP Products North America to a long-term extension.

BP Products North America relocated to the 2.3 million-square-foot CME Center from the western Chicago suburbs in 2010, and occupies 240,000 square feet in the complex.

With the renewal, CME Center will continue to sport an occupancy rate of more than 90 percent.

Completed in 1983, the CME Center consists of two 40-story office towers located at 10 and 30 S. Wacker Dr. The 10-story Chicago Mercantile Exchange and a 500-space parking garage connect the two buildings.

Anchored by Wells Fargo, Reed Smith Sachnoff & Weaver and CME Group, in addition to BP, the LEED Gold complex is located along the Chicago River between W. Madison and W. Monroe streets and two blocks from the Metra-Ogilvie Transportation Center and CTA-Washington & Wells station.

Matt Carolan, Steve Steinmeyer and Bruce Renwick of JLL negotiated the renewal for BP. Joe Gordon and Justin Lewis represented Tishman Speyer in-house.
