Toronto-based Avison Young continued its U.S. expansion with the opening of an office in Denver, CO, its 21st market outside of Canada. The new AY office will be staffed by former members of two Denver-based firms: iCG Denver, LLC, known as iCORE Global, and The Ruschmeyer Corp.
Alec Wynne and Justin Rayburn, both formerly with iCG, were named principals, with Wynne also serving as managing director of the office. Phil Ruschmeyer of The Ruschmeyer Corp. joined as a senior vice president.
Also joining Avison Young from iCG Denver are: Vice Presidents Charlie Lodge, Howard Schmidt and Lowrey Burnett; Associates Jeff Daily and Britteni Rice; and Jicelyn Johnson as Office Manager. Joining Avison Young from The Ruschmeyer Corp. are Ross Ethridge as an associate and Katie Nobel as sales and marketing specialist.
Over the past three and a half years, Avison Young has grown from 11 to, now, 43 offices in 35 markets and from 300 to more than 1,100 real estate professionals across Canada and the U.S.
Recapping AY's growth in 2012, the firm has opened new offices in Reno, NV; Bethesda, MD; San Francisco, New York City, Charleston, SC; Pittsburgh, New Jersey, South Florida, Detroit, Raleigh-Durham, Irvine and Denver. As part of those moves, the firm acquired Maryland-based Realty Management Company, Las Vegas-based Landry & Associates, Los Angeles-based Starrpoint Commercial Partners, New Jersey-based The Walsh Company, and Raleigh, NC-based Thomas Linderman Graham.
