Avison Young Hires Two New Principals
Goldring, Kurtz Join NYC Office

Michael Goldring and Steven Kurtz joined Avison Young as principals in its newly opened New York City office.
Goldring will be responsible for facilitating private negotiated loan-sale transactions. He previously worked as senior vice president at ICAP, where he served as intermediary for whole-loan trading. Before ICAP, Goldring was a regional banker in Countrywide Home Loans' correspondent lending division. He has also worked at Morgan Stanley as transaction manager.
Kurtz will be responsible for growing the firm's valuation advisory services platform, focusing on the areas of valuation for financial reporting, litigation support, portfolio analysis, standard appraisals as well as other valuation duties. Prior to joining Avison Young, Kurtz founded and served as managing director of Kurtz Realty Consulting in NJ. Throughout his career, Kurtz has completed valuations for more than $12 billion worth of properties.
Avison Young, based in Canada, opened its first New York office earlier this year. It currently has 15 locations outside of Canada.
