
Avison Young expanded its brokerage operations in San Francisco with the addition of David Linsmayer as a principal. The 22-year
commercial real estate veteran will focus on capital markets and advisory services transactions and negotiate deals for corporate tenants, investors and landlords in the San Francisco Bay Area.
From 1999 to 2008, Linsmayer was a vice president and original member of the local office of The Staubach Co. before his most recent stint as a senior vice president with Jones Lang LaSalle.
For the past 15 years, he has negotiated 2,000-plus leases representing more than 6.5 million square feet throughout the region and United States. Linsmayer’s clients include Pfizer, CNN, Time Warner, the University of Pennsylvania-Wharton, The Carlyle Group, Charles Schwab & Co. and JP Morgan.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a licensed real estate broker in California.
