Andersen Tax Moving West Loop Office to 71 S. Wacker

Irvine Co. Also Signs JAMS to 19,000-SF Expansion
January 16, 2018
One of the largest independent tax firms in the U.S. is moving its West Loop office to 71 S. Wacker.

Andersen Tax, a San Francisco-based tax, valuation, financial advisory and consulting services firm and founding member of international association Andersen Global, signed a lease for 26,000 square feet at 71 S. Wacker, a 1.49 million-square-foot, 48-story trophy high-rise owned by The Irvine Co.

The company will relocate from The Franklin at 222 W. Adams to its new location in May.

Additionally, JAMS, the largest private alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider in the world and a tenant at 71 S. Wacker for more than a decade, has elected to expand its footprint in the building, agreeing to a new lease for 19,000 square feet in the tower.

Irvine, CA-based The Irvine Co. entered Chicago in 2010 when it acquired 71 S. Wacker from Pritzker Realty Group for $625 million. Today, the company owns 4.2 million square feet in Chicago concentrated in three office towers including 300 N. LaSalle and One North Wacker.

Steve Schneider of Cushman & Wakefield represented Andersen Tax in negotiations, while Todd Lippman and Jarrett Annenberg of CBRE represented JAMS in its expansion. Brad Despot and Annie Nicolau of JLL represented The Irvine Co. in both deals.
