December 21, 2011
The John Buck Co., a Chicago-based real estate firm, acquired the 11-story American Bar Association's building in Washington, DC, for $69.25 million, or about $404 per square foot.

Built in 1906, the historic office property at 714 15th St. NW. is in the East End submarket, just steps from the White House. It totals 170,000 square feet and is currently anchored by the ABA, which will leaseback the space it occupies short term as it moves locations.

Parker Lange, Vernon Knarr, Arthur Greenberg and John Goodman of Studley represented the seller.
