Amazon Corporate LLC has expanded at 1350 Avenue of the Americas, growing to a total 92,493 square feet at the 35-story, 590,068-square-foot, class A office tower.
1350 Avenue of the Americas is located at the southeast corner of West 55th Street in Manhattan's Plaza District. It has recently undergone a capital improvement program that included a new lobby and entrance, upgraded security and new common corridors.
Amazon now occupies three and a half floors with this recent expansion, which totaled 24,707 square feet of new space. According to Steven Durels, executive vice president and director of leasing and real property for SL Green, Amazon's continued growth led to the relocation and consolidation of six separate spaces at this location.
Justin Halpern and Marcus Rayner of Cresa Partners represented the tenant. Howard J. Tenenbaum and Gary M. Rosen served as in-house representation for the building owner, SL Green Realty Corp. (NYSE:
SLG), New York City's largest office landlord.
