Avison Young has named Gabriel Sasso to the role of vice president of its project management platform in the firm's Morristown, NJ office.
With 30 years of experience in the construction industry, Sasso most recently served as a senior vice president at The Gale Construction Company, a subsidiary of Mack-Cali. He has worked in pre-construction and project management, successfully delivering dozens of new and renovation projects across the state.
Sasso's hiring coincides with the firm's announced that the United States Golf Association (USGA) has retained the company to replace and upgrade the mechanical system at its headquarters in Far Hills, NJ. Sasso will manage the USGA contract, having overseen other projects for USGA in the past.
"The addition of Gabe, who is a proven leader with an extensive track record of excellence in project and construction management, will enhance our leadership team, making it even stronger as we further our strategic vision for the growth of our platform throughout the Tri-State region," comments Edward Walsh, principal and managing director of project management services for Avison Young. "Our project management division has built a portfolio of very significant, high-profile assignments, and we are strongly positioned to continue to attract the industry’s top professionals to build on our momentum in the marketplace."
Sasso is a LEED Accredited Professional and active in the New Jersey chapter of the USGBC, and has earned several OSHA certifications. He earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Rugers University with a specialization in construction management and geotechnical engineering.
