Avison Young has acquired Tampa, FL-based Lane Witherspoon & Carswell Commercial Real Estate
Advisors and its sister company L&W Commercial Property Management.
19 members of the two former companies join Avison Young, including new principals Ken Lane, Clay Witherspoon and Trey Carswell (pictured, right). Lane and Witherspoon will also serve as co-managing directors, tasked with overseeing the growth of the company's presence in Tampa while managing day-to-day operations of the office.
Lane brings 15 years of experience in the Tampa commercial real estate industry, specializing in landlord and tenant representation. Witherspoon has 18 years of experience specializing in landlord representation for industrial and office product. Carswell works with institutional investors on the buyer and seller side as well as office landlords and tenants.
Also joining the firm are: Cindy Baxter (Marketing Coordinator), Andrew Boczer (Building Engineer), Lauren Coup (Vice-President), Timothy Hain (Vice-President), Clifford Lombardo (Lead Engineer), Leonard Maldonado (Building Engineer), Kimberly Mastin (Assistant Property Manager), Shannon Pitts (Assistant Property Manager), Dimas Pulgar (Building Engineer), Paul Royak (Senior Associate), Frank Shelton (Chief Engineer), L.B. Sierra, Jr. (Associate), Lauren Smith (Assistant Property Manager), Sara Sneen (Senior Property Manager) and Pedro Sojo (Building Engineer).
In addition, the firm brings its portfolio of 6.3 million square feet of agency listings and more than 2.3 million square feet of property management assignments.
Avison Young now has now opened five offices in Florida in the past 11 months, expanding the firm's market coverage beyond South Florida. The new office is the firm's 51st in an aggressive expansion plan that has seen the company grow from 300 to more than 1,300 professionals in the past four years.
