BPG-Owned Bldg. Receives Prestigious Rating by EPA
March 25, 2009
BPG Properties Ltd., a Philadelphia-based private equity fund, has earned the Environmental Protection Agency's prestigious Energy Star rating for 8500 Keystone Crossing in Indianapolis.
BPG acquired the five-story, 100,000-square-foot office building in 2005 and completed a full renovation in 2006.
BPG spent the last several months working closely with the property manager, Colliers Turley Martin Tucker, to make changes that would increase energy efficiency and cut costs. Some of the changes included retrofitting or replacing lighting fixtures, installing high efficiency LED signs, removing all incandescent lamps and controlling the HVAC and common area lighting with an energy management system.
