Nicor National Inks 65,000-SF Office Lease

Long-Term Deal To Bring East West Corporate Center Occupancy to 91%
November 3, 2009
In what will surely be one of the top 10 lease deals in the Chicago suburban office market this year, Nicor National signed a long-term lease deal for 65,483 square feet at 1751 Diehl Road.

The four-story office building makes up one half of the East West Corporate Center, a 227,978-square-foot office campus at the southwest interchange of Interstate 88 (East West Tollway) and Route 59. Following Nicor's occupancy of the entire second floor, the center will be 90.7 percent leased.

Nicor will consolidate two local offices into this central location as the tenant looks to expand nationally. The company provides energy management and warranty solutions to homeowners across the country through its alliances with utilities and other strategic partners.

"We are so proud that Nicor National selected Naperville for its new headquarters" said Mayor A. George Pradel. "We also would like to thank Keystone Property Group for their re-development of East West Corporate Center, transforming it into an attractive showplace of efficiency and state of the art work space, ideal for the new Nicor National headquarters."

David Kahnweiler, president, and Brian Kling of Colliers Bennett & Kahnweiler represented Nicor. John Clark, senior vice president, and Jamey Dix with Jones Lang LaSalle in Chicago partnered with Jeffrey Shay, senior vice president with JLL's Westchester office to represent building owner and manager Keystone Property Group.

Keystone, led by its president, William Glazer, is a real estate developer and manager of office and industrial properties with assets in several states including Illinois.
