Global Marketing Group Leases 127,000 SF; Lowe & Partners Also Signs Lease for 40,000 SF
Worldwide public relations company Daniel J. Edelman Inc. signed a 127,000-square-foot lease to move its headquarters to 250 Hudson St. in lower Manhattan.
The media firm, which currently houses 300 people in about 100,000 square feet at 1500 Broadway, will relocate to more than four full floors at 250 Hudson in 2009. The 16-year lease includes expansion options.
Edelman will join advertising agency Lowe & Partners in the building, which recently leased 40,000 square feet. It will relocate to the property next June.
"We’re delighted to welcome these elite media and communications companies to what will be one of the downtown market’s most exciting new corporate centers," stated Burton Resnick, Chairman of Jack Resnick & Sons, the building owner.
The 15-story, 360,000-square-foot office building was built in 1931 and is in the Hudson Square submarket. Jack Resnick & Sons recently began a $25 million renovation at the property that includes an expanded lobby, new elevator cabs, an upgrade to building systems and a new rooftop deck.
The CB Richard Ellis team of Mary Ann Tighe, Todd Lippman, Ken Meyerson and Fred Fackelmayer represented Edelman. Dennis Brady and Jonathan Dean of Jack Resnick & Sons represented ownership.
