LOS ANGELES
Lee Opens Long Beach Branch; Names Gill Pres.

Lee & Associates officially opened its office in Long Beach, CA, on Sunday, Nov. 15, with Greg Gill at the helm. Gill, an industry veteran of nearly 41 years, was appointed president of South Bay operations. His duties include overseeing a new team of 10 brokers and the existing office in South Bay.

The veteran broker recently joined Lee from Charles Dunn Co., where he was executive managing officer of its Long Beach and Orange County offices. He was also president of Newmark & Co. and chairman and CEO at Matlow-Kennedy Commercial Real Estate, where he spent the first 30 years of his commercial real estate career.

Some of the brokers joining Gill in Long Beach include Jeff Coburn and Shaun McCullough as senior vice presidents and principals, Brandon Carrillo, Josh Reilly, Garrett Massaro and Barbara Goldsmith. The office opens with full service of the industrial and office markets. Jerry Evans, the past president of the South Bay office, remains a principal and is now a senior vice president.

NEW YORK CITY
Former BoA Exec Joins RBC Capital Markets

Dan Teper was named managing director of RBC Capital Markets’ U.S. Real Estate Investment Banking Group. He will help to expand the company’s banking business while based in New York.

Teper’s background includes 15 years in the investment banking industry with a specialty in private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and client coverage. His experience includes nearly 10 years with Bank of America Merrill Lynch and its predecessor firms, most recently as managing director. He was also a member of the company’s real estate investment banking group, its mergers and acquisitions team, and head of the global direct real estate capital advisory business.

Year-to-date, he has worked on 50-plus mergers and acquisitions, joint venture, PIPE, strategic equity, private equity assignments, and public and private transactions totaling more than $50 billion.


LOS ANGELES
Corridor Investment Group Joins Colliers International

Jeff Albee, Jeff Gould and Chris Itule of the Corridor Investment Group joined the Encino office of Colliers International. Albee was named senior vice president, while Gould and Itule were tapped as senior associates.

The Corridor Investment Group, formerly with Sperry Van Ness' Calabasas office, has 20 years of commercial leasing and sales experience focusing on commercial property along the 101 Freeway, from the San Fernando Valley to Santa Barbara.

The group includes a team of seven. Along with Albee, Gould and Itule, Blake Lichtig, Chris Kim, Nurit Petri and Johannes Koerm make up the balance of the team and will provide team support services.


WESTCHESTER/SOUTH CONNECTICUT
Hallock Comes On Board at FirstService Williams

The FirstService Williams (FSWRE) office in Stamford has hired Gerard Hallock as executive managing director. With more than four decades of brokerage experience, his role will include recruiting top talent from the northern suburban region, continuation and growth of client roster and having a hand in all operational matters.

Recently, Hallock served as a senior managing director with Jones Lang LaSalle's Fairfield and Westchester County office. Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Hallock served as senior vice president with Albert B. Ashforth, Inc.

His list of local clients includes Hewitt Associates, Colangelo, Allied Domecq, Sun Microsystems, Wells Fargo, KPMG and MetLife. Hallock's largest transactions include the 250,000-square-foot lease for Perkin Elmer in Shelton, CT, and the 237,000-square-foot renewal of United Healthcare Groups Trumbull location.

Hallock has also served as president of the Industrial and Office Real Estate Brokers Association and the Connecticut Chapter of the Society of Office and Industrial Realtors.


HARTFORD, WESTCHESTER/SOUTH CONNECTICUT
GE Capital Real Estate Expands Global Investment Mgmt. Team

GE Capital Real Estate added to its Global Investment Management team with the promotion of Greg O’Stean, Alex Sieber and Gregg Morin to senior positions.

O’Stean was appointed global chief investor relations officer. His new responsibilities include leading the development and implementation of the company’s global fundraising and investor relations strategy. O’Stean was previously a managing director of GE Capital Real Estate North America Lending and has been with the company since 2004. He received his bachelor’s and his Master of Business Administration at Georgia Tech.

Sieber was named managing director of Investor Relations Americas. He will lead the Americas' IR division, raising capital and building investor relations. Sieber was previously managing director of GE Capital Real Estate’s Business Property - Canada and has been with GE since 2000. He holds a license in finance from the University St. Gallen in Switzerland, a bachelor's in finance from Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (Montreal, Canada) and a bachelor's in law from Université de Montreal.

Morin was appointed director of Global Investment Management Operations and he will be responsible for assisting with the planning and direction for his division. Morin's most recent position at GE was vice president of global integrations. He received his Master of Business Administration from Marquette University.
