CB Richard Ellis Names 2 Vice Chairmen
Frank Fallon and Chris Riley were promoted to the title of vice chairman in the Atlanta branch of CB Richard Ellis. As members of the investment properties institutional group, their high production levels earned them CBRE’s highest honorary title.
With more than 25 years in the industry, Fallon has worked on the development, acquisition, operation and disposition of more than 95 million square feet of commercial properties worth more than $6 billion. Before joining CBRE in January 2005, he worked at Trammell Crow and ProLogis.
Riley has 22 years in the industry with the last 16 years focused on investment property sales. He’s been involved in the disposition and equity placement of more than 131 million square feet of properties valued at more than of $7 billion. Before joining CBRE in January 2005, he spent nine years at Trammell Crow and eight years at Carter.
Fallon and Riley consistently rank nationally as CBRE’s top producers and have received top honors on other industry lists.
Both are members of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties.

Jones Lang LaSalle Announces New IE Team

Jones Lang LaSalle is bolstering its industrial presence in the Inland Empire market by tapping four preeminent brokers in Managing Director Peter McWilliams, Executive Vice President Mike McCrary, Senior Vice President Ruben Goodsell and Vice President Scott Leichtenberg. The team is currently based in the firm's Los Angeles office and plans to open a local branch in first quarter 2010.
McWilliams was previously a senior vice president at Colliers International and the top producing broker three out of the last five years, in the President's Circle or the firm's top ten producers every year since 1996. A member of American Industrial Real Estate Association and the National Association of Industrial & Office Properties, the 22-year industry veteran was also the number one broker in the nation for Colliers Macaulay Nicolls in 2008.
McCrary joins JLL from Colliers International where he was a senior vice president and a Max L. Green Charitable Contribution Award recipient. The 19-year CRE professional is also a member of Society of Industrial and Office Realtors, AIR and NAIOP.
Goodsell was formerly a vice president at Colliers International and was honored with the Largest Industrial Transaction, President's Circle, Circle of Excellence and Rookie of the Year Awards. Goodsell is also a member of AIR and NAIOP, has been involved in the sales and leasing of over 10.5 million square feet of property in the last eight years.
Leichtenberg specializes in asset management, acquisition and disposition, and joins the firm from CBRE where he was a senior director.
McWilliams, McCrary and Goodsell's highlights include about 8.6 million square feet amongst Wal-Mart, Mattel, Ross Stores and Sanyo Logistics transactions. They also represented CBRE Investors on sales and leasing transactions totaling over $1 billion.

Former ING Global Chief Joins IDI in Atlanta
Jan Doets, the former chairman and CEO of ING Global Real Estate, joined IDI’s Investment Management group in Atlanta as an advisor. His expertise is in development, finance and investment management.
“By leveraging his experience as head of ING Global Real Estate in the Netherlands from 1996 to 2005, Jan Doets will provide a singular perspective on investing, governance and acquisition of the highest quality logistics product on behalf of European investors,” said Paul Phillips, senior vice president of IDI Investment Management.
Doets’ past positions also include executive in charge of ING Group’s real estate activities. His memberships include Goodman European Logistics Fund’s Investment Committee; chairman of the Council of Commissioners for Schiphol Area Development Co. and Aedex; a trustee of the Dutch Maritime Association; and chairman of the ASRE Foundation.
IDI also named Will McIntosh, Ph.D. and John Bartholdi as consultants with IDI Research, a new research platform for the firm’s investment group. IDI Research will support real estate investment activities set to launch next year.
McIntosh is a former managing director and global head of research and strategy for ING Real Estate Investment Management and past dean of the University of Cincinnati College of Business. Bartholdi is the current director of the Supply Chain and Logistics Center for Warehousing and Distribution at Georgia Tech. He will consult on supply chain-related issues.

Tony Greenberg Launches Up Ventures

Tony Greenberg has launched a new real estate development and investment company, Up Ventures. In the near term, the company's focus will be on Manhattan retail property development. The company's first project is to convert a mid-rise property into a multi-story restaurant building that will be a "social destination with buzz worthy dining at its core, elevated by progressive architecture, engaging design and intelligent technology."
With 10+ years in New York City real estate development, Greenberg has held positions in development, asset management, property management, leasing, acquisitions/dispositions and finance. Most recently he was Vice President of Hudson Yards Development Corporation where he was in charge of finance on the West Side Rail Yards project. Earlier in his tenure he was Associate, VP of Development and helped structure the RFP’s for the Jacob Javits Convention Center Hotel, Mid Block Garage and the West Side Yards. Prior to HYDC, he was Vice President at Joseph P Day Realty Corp.
