Former Re/Max broker, Mario Tamayo, has founded a new Tampa start-up venture called MJT Realty. The boutique brokerage firm offers insight to both buyers and sellers, specializing in short sales and foreclosures. Tamayo also offers individual support to his clients, which includes preparing comparative market analysis (CMA) and broker price opinions (BPO).

A native to the Tampa Bay area, Tamayo graduated from Jefferson High School and continued on to Hillsborough Community College. He started his real estate career at Best of the Bay where he immediately excelled and won awards such as "Multi-Million Dollar Agent of the Year". He moved on to act as a broker associate for five years at Re/Max in Tampa.

Tamayo is also very active in the community. He volunteers with the Special Olympics and Tampa Jesuit High School.
