Jones Lang LaSalle appointed Samit Chopra as a managing director with the firm's international desk. The international desk connects clients with transaction specialists around the world.

Currently in Palo Alto, CA, Chopra has spent the last 11 years moving up the ranks of JLL. He is now responsible for expanding the firm's international business across its three regions--Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. He joins a team of international real estate specialists who are committed to thinking and acting globally.

Chopra, originally from India, has more than 13 years of experience in providing strategic real estate advice to multinational firms in India and the U.S. Most recently, he led corporate client development and account management events for JLL in India. Before that, Chopra managed the transaction business for JLL's western region (Mumbai and Pune) in India.

Before returning to India in 2006, Chopra worked as a vice president at JLL's New York office. While there, he was primarily involved in devising and implementing occupancy strategies for the firm's corporate occupier clients.

Chopra is a Certified Commercial Investment Member candidate who received his MBA from the Institute of Management Technology in India and his Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) from Delhi University.
