ProLogis will lease its new 590,000-square-foot distribution center at 2100 Danieldale Road in Lancaster, TX, to United Natural Foods, a national natural, organic and specialty foods distributor. The facility, about 15 miles south of Dallas, will support UNF retailers from Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arkansas and Louisiana.

The Lancaster facility, which delivered last year, is building two of Prologis Park 20/35 in the southeast Dallas/Interstate 45 industrial submarket. UNF will start operations by fall of next year and employ nearly 130 new workers by third quarter of 2011. The industrial building includes 54,000 square feet of refrigeration and freezer space and about 20,000 square feet for office and workspace. UNF will apply to the U.S. Green Building Council for LEED Certification for its build out space.
