Wells Trades University Research Park Bldg. for $2.1M

Local Firm To Renovate 1000 Louis Rose Place to LEED Standards

Wells Real Estate Funds sold the Louis Rose Place office building in Charlotte to local company Environmental Services of Charlotte for $2.1 million, or about $30 per square foot. The building will be renovated to the highest level to qualify for LEED certification, which will include solar panels and sophisticated monitors of real-time energy performance.

The property at 1000 Louis Rose Place, at the University Research Park, is a 70,752-square-foot office structure that is on about 9.5 acres. The building was built in 1986 and has about 280 parking spaces.

Brad Grow and Tom Kelly of Colliers Pinkard represented the seller. Caren Wingate of Machen-Wingate Advisory Group represented the buyer.
